Service Brakes problem #1

On numerous occasions while driving on the highway with no other vehicles in the vicinity of my vehicle the forward collision active braking activates aggressively and brakes for no reason this is concerning at 70 mph with a vehicle behind that may be following to close on a slippery road surface. Vehicle is available for inspection any time upon request. Vehicle has not been inspected by any one yet. No warning lamps other than the one associated with forward collision braking.

Service Brakes problem #2

While driving and pressing on gas the car started beeping and started to brake. There was no obstruction in front of me to cause this. The break flashing signal didn’t come on. It just beeped and started to brake and then stopped.

Service Brakes problem #3

When driving the auto breaking is applied. The warning system flashes on the dash and the breaks are applied, there are no cars around me at the time. The system will also activate at times when going around a curve and a vehicle is approaching from the opposite direction.

Service Brakes problem #4

In February of 2024 my 2022 Honda Passport wouldn't let me reverse out of my sloped driveway. I realized the emergency brake must be frozen and sure enough as soon as it hit 33f I was able to release the brake and drive the vehicle. I figured just a little water got into the cable in the rear. In January of 2025 I found myself with the same problem with another frozen brake. I took it into the Honda dealership and after a week they found out there was a leak in the body seam that let water under the driver's seat and froze the emergency brake cables. According to the mechanic, this was either the result of a major collision or a defect. Since the vehicle hasn't been in a collision, this is a concerning defect that Honda has so far refused to cover, including the damage to the soaked carpet. Both times, I had driven for 3-8 hours in pouring rain on the highway. Unacceptable for a 2- year old vehicle to have this issue.

Service Brakes problem #5

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated that an abnormal, squeaking sound would emit from the brake pedal upon depression without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they discovered that both the clevis pin and the cotter pin clip were missing from the master brake cylinder. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

Service Brakes problem #6

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact stated that while stopped at a red light and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal depressed to the floor, and the vehicle moved forward. The failure recurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was able to duplicate the failure, and the brake master cylinder, vsa modulator assembly, and the brake fluid was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,200.

Service Brakes problem #7

Vehicle has slammed on the brakes multiple times now one on the highway going 60mph and in the city 35mph. Today on a open 2 lane city road, and shadow on the road with no vehicles in site slammed on the auto brakes with a collision warning while the wife was driving slowed the vehicle down. Would of been easily rear ended if a vehicle was behind in our 2022 Honda pilot, not a Passport listed for our VIN# your system is showing.

Service Brakes problem #8

Vehicle intermittently applies front collision system braking on curves and on highway. It is vary unsafe and have almost been rear ended multiple times due to front collisions system engaging and applying brakes. Vehicle front collision system applies brakes randomly and with no vehicles or obstacles in site. This happens during various speeds anywhere from 30- 50mph in city and 60-75mph on highways. ( car is unpredictable and unsafe).

Service Brakes problem #9

SUV(Honda pilot 2022) continues to brake. And lose power after brake pedal has been released causing unsafe and un controlled stopping. ( no warning lights or errors ) we have almost been rear ended do to this. Taken back to dealer to repair after only 200 miles on SUV. Dealer replaced antilock brake module. After repairs SUV seemed to brake normally for about one week then started doing the same thing again but way worse, to the point we didnt think we could make it home. The sticking brakes, loss of power to the SUV got so bad that it was unsafe to operate and was towed to the dealer awaiting another repair. . . In shop now two times with less then 500 miles for same exact safety issue. This braking issue could possibly cause serious accidents if not remedied soon. Hearing stories other 2022 Hondas are dealing with this issue as well. . . . Hoping no one gets seriously hurt if issue is left unaddressed.
