When I got into the vehicle this morning, I opened the door and smoke came out from inside, then I noticed in the driver's seat there was fire from the control panel of the driver's seat. Where the fire affected the seat, the seat belt and the interior panel of the driver's door.
About 9 days ago our Honda Pilot (parked, off, keys out of ingnition) had a malfunction in the drivers side heated seat and caught fire burning half the seat and the door, this could have happened while driving which makes this a massive safety issue, I had previously had my car checked out only days prior to incident and nothing was found. There was no indication, warning lights anything to tell us this would happen no one has checked the car since because we have no money and the car is no longer legal to drive.
Car keeps going into limp mode. The vtm and vsa light flash on and the car will not accelerate. Happens at different occasions. It has happenstance while driving on highway and I’m traffic. The only way to reset is to cut car off and turn on. Sometimes, it doesn’t work with that and you have to sit and wait. It has been checked but no one see no faults and it’s never on the dashboard if you cut off then cut back on. This is becoming a huge risk when driving with children and family. Also, electrical issues has been going on and no one can figure out. Have been looked at and even quoted for new pets but no fox for why the electrical is not working. One side of car has no electric and nobody knows why. My car was taken apart and still no fix for electric. This effects the passenger side windows and turn signals. The vehicle is forcing me to have to look for another one even though it’s paid off and has done well for me and my family. Please help and assist thanks.
Both vehicle low beams simultaneously stopped working while I was driving. I needed to use high-beams to get home. This is very dangerous!! I checked bulbs and fuses and all are in working order.
The key is stuck and wont turn or come out.
The key is stuck in the ignition an will not come out or turn.
Not one, but both rear windows fell within weeks of each other because of the cheap plastic mechanism that holds them up. Both mechanisms had to be replaced at the cost of $400 each. And they use the same parts!! clearly this is a recall issue, as I have read hundreds of reports like this one. Thank goodness we were not driving on the freeway at the time (both times we had just exited) and the glass didn't break. This could have been not only a costly repair, but dangerous for my kids in the backseat.
Most of button lights on climate control dash and cruise/vsa/sunroof stopped working. I believe they burnt out. Happened to lots of Honda owner too. Honda dealership asks for $200-300 to fix this. It's ridiculously expensive to fix their mistake.
Driver's side seat warmer gets unbearably hot! the seat seems to only warm on the right side, but it is extremely hot!!.
Loud popping noise coming from rear speaker when starting the vehicle. On and off for years now.
When we first bought the 2006 Honda Pilot, there was a loud roaming noise coming from the engine, while the car was cruising at any speed, it would just start and stop at any moment, it sounded like a racing car revving it engine to the limit. When we took the car to the dealer, they spent about 2 days trying to figure it out, they said it was some sort of speaker or sensor that was relaying information to the cars computer and what we were hearing was feedback. They said they could not fix it, so they unplugged it so that we wouldn't hear the noise.
