Timing belt/tensioner resulting in loud noises. Already replaced once at 100k now recurring at 148k.

2 Timing Tensioner problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2012

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the timing chain became loose due to a leak on the tensioner. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the timing belt tensioner needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 73,000 and the current mileage was 74,000.
