The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

2 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2022

The contact owns 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that he took his vehicle for repair in regard to NHTSA recall number 21v932000 (structure, latches/locks/linkages. The contact stated that while driving at a high speed the hood vibration was visible after repairing the recall. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken back dealer where it was stated that the hood needed to be replaced due to a crack. The vehicle has been not repaired. The manufacturer has not been contacted. The failure milage 108,481.

3 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 01/04/2022

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21v932000 (structure, latches/locks/linkages). The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and had recall repair completed. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the hood was still vibrating and seemed as if it would open inadvertently. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
