I have several lights on my dash after getting a part changed. Road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, auto high beam problem.
I leased this vehicle in oct2019 and then brought this vehicle and till date did 44710 miles and on 2/25 we had multiple warnings on the dashboard regarding lane assist failure, adaptive cruise control, break system failure, forward collision failure and many more warnings, we took it to Honda dealer to investigate and they said that he don’t monocular camera has to be replaced with a estimate cost of $2395, when searched online there are many customers of the 2019 model facing the same problem and are subjected to such high repair cost. I believe that this is a faulty part from Honda and needs to be recalled and fixed as this impacts critical safety functions.
Multiple problems flashing. Including cmbs problem, lane keeping assist problem, road departure warning, adaptive cruise control problem. The car also did an unexpected slow down while driving when there was no obstruction in front of me driving. This was a major safety issue as I could have been rear-ended.
All of the warning lights came on, cruise doesnt work. Dealership told me my camera in the wind shield stopped working. I was given a 2,1000$ estimate from harvest Honda in yakima, wa. My car had 84,000 miles on it. No impact to the windshield. It just stopped. I took it to mckinney glass to see if it could possibly be a calibration issue. They confirmed what the dealership told me. It’s defective.
While driving, multiple safety systems suddenly failed at the same time including adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation, and auto high beam. All warning lights appeared simultaneously. The vehicle became unsafe to drive relying only on manual control. This appears to be related to the front-facing camera or sensor malfunction. Many other Honda Pilot owners have reported the same issue.
Below features stopped working and when I showed it to the dealership, it was diagnosed to be a failed front camera which I had to get replaced at the dealership to get below features restored. Adaptive cruise control forward collision warning lane keeping assistance auto high-beam headlights.
Vehicle: 2019 Honda Pilot issue: complete dashboard blackout / loss of safety systems safety defect: yes description of the problem: while driving, the entire dashboard and infotainment system suddenly go black without warning. This includes the speedometer, fuel gauge, warning lights, backup camera, and all Honda sensing features (lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, road departure mitigation). When this happens, I cannot see my speed or any critical vehicle information. The system reboots on its own while still driving. This failure happens intermittently and unpredictably, including at highway speeds. It creates a serious safety hazard because I lose all driver information and safety alerts. Many other 2019 Honda Pilot owners report the same issue, and Honda has not issued a recall or permanent fix. Honda cannot figure out why this happens depsite me taking it to dealer several times. Frequency: • has happened multiple times when it occurs: • while driving what has been done so far: Honda dealers have not provided a permanent fix. Software updates and resets do not resolve the issue. Honda has not acknowledged this as a safety defect despite widespread reports. Why this is a safety issue: losing the speedometer, warning lights, and safety systems while driving is extremely dangerous. I cannot tell how fast I am going, whether the vehicle has warnings, or whether safety systems are active. This should be investigated as a safety defect.
Front camera sensor (behind rear view mirror) has failed prematurely therefore causing multiple dash lights to come on such as acc, lkas, collision mitigation system, brake system. Confirmed battery is not the issue as it is in great condition.
My cruise control stopped working and all my lane assist stopped working. My front camera stopped working. I went to the Honda dealership, and it was going to be over $2000 to replace. The car is only 6 years old, it has had no accidents or problems. I’m incredibly upset that this already is a problem, and because I didn’t buy an extended warranty it’s on me to fix.
So my front sensing camera failed after 125,000 miles , Honda sensing features disabled and dealer in elk grove, CA zip code 95624 quoted me 2,215 plus tax and that includes diagnostics. It showed 5-6 errors on my dashboard which have disturbed my focus on driving. Advisor said there’s no recall on this issue or warranty at all except if you bought an extended warranty. This is not fair as this is an electronic automated design, this should have a warranty. This will pose danger to customers who owns this vehicle.
Front camera stopped working all of a sudden and didn't help with lane assistance.
At random intervals, I get the following faults on start: adaptive cruise control problem lane keeping assist problem collision mitigation system problem road departure mitigation system problem auto high-beam problem.
There was an internal failure of the multi-purpose camera located behind the windshield rear-view mirror. It was inspected by russ darrow Honda and the failure code diagnosed. The camera needed to be replaced. Service included a video from the dealer and the defective camera was so hot he could barely hold it while wearing gloves. This caused the lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, collision mitigation and road departure mitigation systems to fail, and the dummy lights on the dash to warn of the system failures. There was no accident or injury resulting yet, but none of the advanced safety features were operable. We have since learned that this camera is a common failure in Honda vehicles, and we feel there needs to be a recall. This critical and expensive safety feature should not be failing this frequently, or in vehicles this new.
My 2019 Honda Pilot [xxx] with 68k miles) recently began to have startup errors and issues with the automated driver safety systems. The five errors that are routinely displayed on the dash info display are: collision mitigation system problem road departure mitigation system problem adaptive cruise control problem lane keeping assist problem brake system information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
The multi function camera is causing multiple system failures within the safety systems associated with the camera as well as additional issues with transmission. Honda suggests throwing parts at it until repaired. Many owners on forums report same issue across different model years and trim levels. Known issue not being resolved by manufacturer.
The front camera driving assist malfunctioned, causing all driving safety mitigation to be stopped. This is not an issue due to the driver, it is an issue with the camera either malfunctioning from heat from sun exposure or being faulty due to manufacturing issues. I reported to auto national Honda valencia & they said it would cost approximately $2200 to fix. Dash light did come on and are continuing to go on until the faulty camera is replaced.
My 2019 Honda Pilot has 47817 miles on it. Purchased new from dealership. Been garaged entire life other than normal routine driving. Recently had adas warning lights. Reported the problem to Honda hq in torrance California. They issued a claim number. I took it to Honda dealer where it was diagnosed with error code u3000-49. They quoted me approx $2600 to replace and calibrate the new multi purpose camera. When reviewing the internet for others with similar problem I noticed this was a safety issue that was far too common among relatively new Honda vehicles. I received a discount from Honda and had the service. The discount was only given when I complained about this issue as well as my 2013 Honda Pilot I purchased brand new which the clear coat paint started to come off the roof and hond of the vehicle about a month after I purchased my 2019 Honda. When reporting the problem with the 2013 Pilot losing the clear coat back in 2019 Honda told me it was too late for them to do anything. Honda should have recalled vehicles with peeling clear coat as well as the defective adas system.
After starting my vehicle and leaving the office, several different warning messages began flashing on the dash abs, lane departure mitigation, power sterring, towing. I pulled over and turned the vehicle off. When I attempted to restart the vehicle, the brake pedal was hard and felt stuck. The car did not start. When roadside assistance came, they tested the battery, and it was fine. The car was towed to a Honda dealer and the technician informed me the brake pedal position switch failed. He said that it would have caused all the different warning messages to appear. This was the second time this occurred, where the different warning messages lit up, but that time the car restarted. When I took it to the dealer that time, they could not determine the issue, and no repairs were done. I am concerned because I have seen that these vehicles have issues with this and it is very dangerous and unsafe when it comes to issues with the brakes.
During normal operation of the vehicle, the dashboard information display on the gauge cluster lit up displaying the following error messages: adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, lane keeping assist problem, auto high-beam problem, road departure mitigation system problem. Additionally there is a fixed "dash light" that is showing "brake system" illuminated in amber color. After research I have found that Honda issued a TSB for other vehicles with their sensing system for the same issue and referenced the high-mounted mono camera on the windshield. This issue extends to the 2019 Pilot elite that I own and significantly reduces the safety features of this vehicle.
The braking system failed lane keeping assist stopped working adaptive cruise control stopped working forward collision warning stopped working it does not handle as smoothly since the sensors stopped working I parked in the shade I keep the sensors clean but they only will work when it’s cooler then 65 degrees outside.
Brake warning, sign.
Received five warning lights at idle. Adaptive cruise control problem, lane keeping assist problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, auto high beam problem. None of these safety features work in my vehicle. I have taken this to the dealership to troubleshoot the issue and they confirm that the issue is there and said that it was the multi-purpose camera on the rear view mirror. This will end up costing around $2,000 to repair. Without these safety systems, my family is obviously not as safe. . . As a consumer we pay extra for all the engineering and the physical components to have these safety features. Otherwise, I could have saved $20,000 and bought a 2000s model suburban that doesn't have these safety features.
2019 Honda Pilot ex-l receive alarms for malfunctions in the following systems: collision mitigation system lane keep assist adaptive cruise control road departure mitigation automatic high beams.
I got in my vehicle about a month ago to a lot of blinking lights. I immediately took my vehicle to davenport Honda in rocky mount, nc, who stated I had a misfire and it would be over $1000 to fix the problem. Approximately a month later, a few more blinking lights came on. It was the lane departure, automatic high beam and collision lights. I took my vehicle back to the dealership that stated it is an internal failure and now the entire camera will need to be replace quoting me another $1000 job. I currently have a crack in my windshield and cannot get it replace due to this internal failure. I have read several comments about this internal failure leading to believe me this should be a recall. I don't have $4000 to $5000 to put into a vehicle every 2 to 3 months.
Our Honda had a failure while driving on the highway. The camera behind the windshield apparently failed all at once and this caused all of the safety features to stop functioning and we almost had a wreck trying to get across the busy lanes of traffic because when this camera failed it caused the service brakes light on the dash to come on and stay on as well as the adaptive cruise control, the lane keep assist, the emergency braking, the blind spot warning all to stop functioning immediately without warning. We had the vehicle towed to the Honda dealer and had to pay to have the $1300 camera behind the windshield replaced on a vehicle that’s barely 5 years old. This camera that is so ingrained into all of the safety features that are the main reason we bought this vehicle should not be failing. Honda refused to assist with this repair and they will recall vehicles because a backup camera isn’t clear but offer no help for something that kills every single safety feature of the vehicle? how does that make sense? I find this to be a sad situation that will get someone killed.
Just started, while driving in high winds: electrical power steering problem, vehicle stability assist problem, hill start assist problem, trailer stability assist problem, road departure mitigation system problem, emissions system problem. Brake system warning light is also on. I don’t have a towing system installed- so that’s odd to get a warning for trailer stability. I had an oil change @ 101076 miles, on 19 November 2024, and my tires were rotated at that time. This issue repeated itself today, 21 November 2024.
3 episodes of unexpected and sudden braking for no reason. Twice on sept 13 when acc was in use and set at 70 mph the car hard-braked and dropped to 40-42mph rapidly, then it stopped braking and I was able to use the accelerator again- the braking lasted perhaps 10-15 seconds. The third episode was on oct. 13 and the acc was not on. I was driving manually at 55 mph and again the car suddenly braked and dropped to the same 40-42 range- maybe 5-10 seconds before the accelerator started to work again. There was no reason for the barking, no warning notices on the dashboard. Thank goodness there was no-one close behind me on any of these occasions, because the drop in speed was fast and hard.
My whole dashboard is lit up high beams lane keeping assistance break system go’s off , seatbelt warning, my high beams this puts my safety at risk as my passengers. I have had this diagnosed by my mechanic. It came up on the computer that it is the front camera that is making this all happen. I told the Honda dealership they say there’s no recall? they said I would have to get it diagnosed for $260. I’ve already had that done. At the time I took it in for a recall on the fuel pump modulator also the back up camera cables, which they fixed.
Multiple warning lights and alarms sounding after starting the engine: collision mitigation system problem. Road departure mitigation system problem. Adaptive cruise control problem. Lane keeping assist problem. Auto high beam braking system error. When these warning lights are on, the vehicle continues to drive and brake as if these features were not installed. However, since the "brake system error" light is now always illuminated, there is no longer an on dash warning to indicate an actual problem with the braking system. This began in August of 2024 as a single episode. It escalated to intermittent occurrences. It now happens every time. Malfunctioning braking and lane minding systems pose obvious danger to passengers. Problem was noted by virginia state vehicle inspection station.
2019 Honda Pilot began throwing error messages every time the car is started around 8/1/24. Error messages include acc (adaptive cruise control problem), lkas (lane keeping assist problem), collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem and auto high-beam problem.
Honda radar or multi purpose camera failed. Is available for inspection. Turns off extra safety features such as acc, lkas, lane departure system and cbms. Makes it more dangerous without said system. Unknown. Unknown. There were quite a bit of warning lamps, cbms problem, lkas problem, acc problem, auto high beam problem and more. They first appeared April 2024.
The front multipurpose camera that controls all safety features has failed. This is a major safety hazard because almost every safety feature is non functioning. These include automatic emergency brake, blind spot warning, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and all included in the adas.
The forward facing camera has failed causing the cruise control automatic, breaking land departure, and other various electrical problems due to the malfunction of the camera.
This morning 01/30/2024, I was travelling in the right lane of two on the highway. The vehicle slowed rapidly just about to a stop. I barely had time to pull to the right shoulder. I narrowly was struck from a vehicle travelling behind. This was from one of the safety mechanisms in the Pilot SUV I think the lane departure sensor. This was very scary. I feel this is a huge safety concern and need to report it. If I didn't have a shoulder what the heck would have happened to me. I probably would have been struck from behind and who knows possibly injured or worse. The shoulder was approximately 8 ft wide thankfully. Later that morning it did the same thing but this time many error messages appeared. Thankfully this time there was nobody behind me and was able to pull to the right shoulder again. The error messages are as follows 1) adaptive cruise control problem 2) brake system problem 3) power steering system problem 4) vehicle stability assist problem 5) hill start assist problem 6) trail stability assist problem 7) collision mitigation system problem 8) road departure mitigation system problem. The engine lost power and would not shift properly. About 15 minutes later the vehicle drove normal. The error messages were still there. I parked my car upon arrival to work. I saw that the rear brake lights stayed illuminated as if the brakes were depressed but they were not. I had no tools to disconnect the battery and the rear lights stayed on for the next several hours. I returned to the vehicle and thankfully it started. The vehicle error lights were still there on the dash. I put the vehicle in gear and started my way home. Again, the engine lost power and would not shift properly. About 15 minutes later the vehicle drove normal. The error messages were still there. I parked my car at my house and the rear lights were still illuminated. I had to disconnect the battery so the battery would not be drained and/or ruined. I feel like this is a severe safety issue.
The forward facing camera on the windshield is failing and warning lights on the dashboard keep going off making the adas system inoperative. This is also draining the battery. I am told that only Honda has the capability to troubleshoot and repair / replace this camera.
