Air Bag problem #1

The middle passenger seat consistently sends signal that seat belt is not fastened when it actually is. This is noticed more when making a left turn. My 2 older kids are 11 and 8 yrs old. When either of them sit on the seat, I always ensure they buckle up. It's alarming to see message on dashboard and hear the chime that seat belt is not fastened when it is. I've also seen a message that the airbags get disabled on occasional drives. This is most likely related to the same issue.

Air Bag problem #2

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Pilot. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 mph in a drive-through and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal was stiff and the vehicle failed to respond on two occasions, and rear-ended the same vehicle twice. The contact stated that both vehicles sustained scratches. The air bags did not deploy. There was no injury sustained. No police report was filed. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the recall inspection for NHTSA campaign number: 25v391000(service brakes, hydraulic) was performed, and the dealer informed the contact that the vehicle had passed the inspection. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent an engineer, who inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that no failure was found. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

Air Bag problem #3

While driving in the city a warning came up on the dash stating "supplemental restraint system problem. See your dealer. " and the red seat belt/air bag symbol turned on and remained on for the remainder of the drive home (about 45 min at variable speed). As soon as I got home I turned the car off and back on and the warnings disappeared. I drove the vehicle for another 30 minutes and the warnings did not re-appear. However, I noticed that the seat belts used to tighten / lock while the vehicle was in d (drive) but they no longer do. I also tried performing a hard stop in a safe area to see if the belt would lock while my body was jolted forward but it did not. The vehicle had 6 passengers when the warning first came on and all of us experienced loose belts. This makes me concerned about the functionality of the restraint system, especially in the event of a crash.
