3 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2025 Honda Ridgeline

Failure Date: 11/14/2024

I purchased a 2025 Honda Ridgeline and noticed that the turn signal is hardly audible. If you have the radio on or the windows rolled down, you will not hear the warning tone. In the infotainment system there is an adjustment that allows you to raise the volume of the warning indicator and even at the highest volume you can barely hear it. I also found that I am not alone and that this IA a common problem with some Honda models. Every other car I have ever owned made a mechanical or audio tone to warn that the signal light is active. This makes the driver behind you question whether you are taking a turn or not, should they pass you or not? I took it to the service department, and they could not tell me how to increase the volume. I had them go to another 2025 Honda Ridgeline and it had the same problem. I think that it is supposed to work with the infotainment system but even with their settings the issue persisted. Even the blind spot detection is inaudible. I think this is negligence on behalf of Honda. You can search on "Honda turn signal inaudible".

4 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2020 Honda Ridgeline

Failure Date: 10/15/2024

Scheduled my vehicle for recall related to the tailgate/camera/rear area warning system harness replacement for today 10-15-2024 after two notices. Upon arriving for my appointment, I learned that the dealer, voyles Honda marietta, GA does not have the parts, nor can they provide a time/date when parts would be available. Further, the service manager, marvin, said the same parts issue is present with a fuel pump and electric steering campaign currently released. From prior involvement with many heavy truck campaign recalls, I know the o. E. M. Is required to have adequate repair parts to satisfy the released safety recall. In the previously noted Honda recalls this requirement is ignored by the manufacturer placing safety concern on the public, stressing dealers, and forcing vehicle owners to operate defective vehicles because parts to repair are not available, nor is there an expected date when they will be. Responses like “on manufacturer back order “ is not acceptable for a released national safety recall. Honda corporate needs to be held accountable and owners need to be compensated for their inconvenience. Maybe restrict Honda from selling more vehicles until all safety campaigns are completed. Nhtsa, check your records on Honda’s completion performance and take appropriate actions.

12 Blind Spot Detection problem of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline

Failure Date: 10/21/2020

At approximately 59k +/- the transmission system and blind spot system light on my 2017 Honda Ridgeline came on and went off when the car was parked. This phenomenon was repeated twice before the vehicle was returned to the dealer for service at 61k +/-. The complaint was noted, checked, and after a $998. 19 service bill, no problems or faults could be located. At 62k +/- both warning lights came on and the Ridgeline was returned to the dealer. At that time I was informed the transmission had failed and Honda refused to make the necessary repairs under warranty. This flaw is known to Honda and has been corrected in later models. Prospective buyers should be warned about the fault so this model Ridgeline can be avoided. Finally, consumers should be aware that Honda refuses to take responsibility for defective products.
