Honda Ridgeline, 2019, Honda sensing, was turning into a parking spot in front of a bldg, 1/2 way in, the sensing, sensed something? the big yellow light comes on the dash with the words "brake", truck comes to a complete halt, I was slightly jerked forward, the truck was at a complete stop, 1/2 in 1/2 out or parking spot, diagonally, my hands on the wheel, I then just lightly touched the gas petal to move forward and park, but the truck resumed to full speed and ran me into the wall, about 15 feet in front of me. I could not do anything, the cruise control was not on, the gas pedal was not floored, the computer just told it to resume the speed. The air bag deployed, my hands were hurt. . . I was alone on the street.

Vehicle has adaptive cruise control to reduce speed by braking when other vehicles may be struck. Unfortunately this models brakes are often applied when the radar detects other traffic which will not be a factor; I. E. A second car has left the interstate and is slowing to stop before turning on a secondary road. My vehicle will brake regardless whether a third vehicle is cruising a highway speed behind me. Similarly if I am moving with traffic in the center lane and overtaking an 18 wheeler on the right moving 10+ miles slower. My vehicle will brake to match the speed of the truck regardless of the speed or proximity of vehicles behind me. The manufacturer advises this is my vehicles design and no fix or modification is needed. This has been an issue reported to multiple dealers since about 5000 miles. Hi how.

My 2007 Ridgeline failed to activate either the abs or the vsa as I began skidding on the snow that was between the tire lanes. The drive lanes were clear pavement and at 64 mph in cruise control I changed lanes and the vehicle began 4 wheel skiing on the snow. I applied the brake and lost all control of my Ridgeline as the vehicle with all 4 wheels locked, skid over to the side of the road and became entangled with the snow bank. With all 4 wheels locked the vehicle slowed due to the depth of the snowbank. As it slowed the Ridgeline swung around sideways and slowly rolled on its side. At that point the side air bag curtain deployed. Scratching my eye ball and hitting my ear so hard I had to put my hand to my ear to see if it was still attached. Either the vsa or the abs should have activated. And the drivers air bag should not have deployed due to the fact the vehicle was laying on the passenger side. Causing over $10,000 damage. After the repair I took the vehicle to my dealer and I was told there is nothing wrong with any of the systems. Nor were they concerned that this incident, under different circumstances could have easily ended in death.

2008 Honda engine surge when running normal speed. The consumer stated the problem happened when he was slowing down to come to a stop. The surge would last about 1 to 2 seconds and the rpm's would return to normal. It would also happen when the engine was operating at regular temperature or when it was cold and when the cruise control was on or off.
