Door Latch Problems of Hyundai Accent

The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that the doors could no longer be opened from inside the vehicle. The contact had to roll down the windows in order to let herself out of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 14,453.

The contact owns a 2002 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that the driver and passenger door handles were fractured and could not open from the interior or exterior of the vehicle. The dealer was informed of the failure via voice mail the contact was awaiting a return call. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 81,000.

With right hand, lifted handle of driver side door , handle snapped at top, left top half still attached, can't open drivers side door. Made an appointment for repair, waiting for repair appointment confirmation.

The driver side exterior door handle broke off. Consumer is concerned, this is the fifth time.

I have a 1996 hyundia Accent ,I have had to replace the drivers side door handle 3 times. The first time the dealer said he would have to order one ,but this last time he had plenty in stock ,he said he keeps a good stock because so many break. This would be a safety hazard if you were in a wreck and could not get out. In louisiana you can not get an inspection sticker with out this handle in working order.

I have had my Hyundai Accent 2001 for a year now, so far. . I have had to have my brakes changed 4 times, new rotors 2x, my check engine light comes on for no apparent reason. . . The dealer tells me this is normal wear and tear. . . . Hundreds of dollars later. . . . Now my door handle is coming. . . I check the recall website. . . My vehicle has been recalled 2x and I have not once received notifcation of this. . . My car is also horrible in any kind of weather other than dry and sunny. . . If it rains, I slide, snows- I slide. . Already got into 2 accidents because of this. . . .

Knob to open up door would break if consumer pulled on it too hard. It can only be opened from inside. Contacted dealer, and dealer told consumer that all it did was just pop off. This is third time this has happened.

On three separate occasions the front passenger's side door opened by itself.
