Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Hyundai Accent

Chrome tape on driver's side door handle came loose creating a sharp edge that is a cut hazard when attempting to open the door. My daughter is returning to longwood university with this vehicle so I had to superglue and tape the chrome tape back into place. The chrome tape is starting to bubble on the right side of the handle so that part of the chrome tape will also be separating soon from the plastic.

Air bag - passenger side air bag light is illuminated and will not turn off when the vehicle is started and while driving. ( issue has been ongoing for the past 6 months and dealer wants to charge for diagnostic- car is 2years old!). Electrical- warning lights and radio turn on and off randomly while driving) other- often the car won't start (2-3 times/week) and have to get a jump. Battery is new, starter is good. Possibly issue with amps? (auto zone diagnostic did not show issue or codes). There are no recalls on this year ,make and model (2016 Hyundai Accent). There has been issues and recall with the 2015 make and model of the same with the air bag light coming on and staying on. Believe it was thought to be due to computer issue that affected kia as well. ( this must be a safety issue if the air bag (passenger) stays illuminated and shows the air bag to be off (wwith or without an adult passenger. Hyundai refuses to investigate saying lack of complaints and must be issue with just my vehicle. Warranty- does not cover as the mileage on my vehicle is over the allowance for the warranty.

On January 30 2015. I was driving at about 65 mph . Upon entering the tappen zee bridge all dash lights came on and I encountered a substantial loss. Of speed/power. Top speed was around 5-10 mph. After getting to safe place , I contacted Hyundai roadside assistance ,they told me it wasn't their problem. After a 3 hour "cooldown" I was able to transport the car to rockland Hyundai. After several more hours the service tech told me " the dealer prep button " wasn't pushed. This sounded suspicious , so I contacted several dealers. I was told by all of them there isn't a dealer prep button. However there is a switch. Was also told if this switch wasn't activated the car would not do what it did( go into safe mode) . The switch controls accessories ( power windows, radio, lights. . . ) to this day I have been told what really happened. I also filed a complaint with Hyundai, but all I get is them stalling.

Driving during normal conditions at 45 mph, for no reason the drivers side sun visor dropped down and impaired my vision. I pulled over to the side of the road and try to return it to its normal position with no success. I have tried velcro and tape but it will not stay up. It is serious driving hazard, and judging by forums on the internet, many, many people are affected by it. Hyundai should do a recall and have the issue fixed.

On Thursday oct. 9. 2014 I went to my car parked in driveway to go to work. I went to turn key heard radio come on then an explosion. I went back into seat left hand forward. I did not know what was going on. I realized airbag was out in steering wheel, did not know if car was on fire, got out called 911. By divine intervention my injurys were minor burn on my arm which was cleaned up at site, my home in driveway, fire report stated noticed minor burns on face, I was not aware, upset and in shock. I went up with tow truck driver to dealership where I purchased car brand new only year old, under 11000 miles on it. I demanded a car to use, I was crying at dealership. Manufacture tried to say it was an insurance problem which it is not, car blew up in my face when I started it. Dealership came thru and has let me use a car for time being. I am trying to deal with manufacture and it is not easy. I do not want car back and I want them to pay it off. They agreed to outside inspector and now I find out I will not be aloud report. So now I demanded that I hire someone and we all go investigate car at same time, they agreed, still a work in progress at this moment in time, I do not know what type airbags they use but I have a right to know exactly what went wrong and for other people. I am lucky to be able to tell this story,.

Cd player malfunctioned, cds would enter the player began and then stopped between 20-60 seconds and never restarted. Went to the dealer, seemed like it was a known problem, and they replaced the entire radio with a refurbished one at no cost as the radio was under warranty for 3 years.

Brake system was grinding. When consumer applied the brakes pedal went all the way to the floor. Vehicle has had forty work orders. Also, radio malfunctioned. When turning the volume up the station changed. Seat belts and sunvisors don't work properly, transmission problems, windows go down about 1/4 in while driving.
