The tire was never used, it was a saver spare tire. It was in the spare space in the trunk of the car. It was purchased within the last 4 months and sat in the car for only a few months total. The tire basically fell apart in the trunk. We discovered it and let the air out before it had a chance to explode, which it could have in a hot trunk. I contacted firestone. They told me to bring the tire to discount tire, in prescott az. Discount tire contacted firestone. Firestone said there was no warranty on spare tires.

I have a 2008 Hyundai Accent with 16" tires on it. The manufacture put kumo tire on it and they showed wear just @ 23000 km . They replaced with a different kind of kumo tires and at 17000 km they are done again. Hyundai tell me there is nothing wrong with car and to change to a different brand. Is there a problem with the tire or car.

I purchased my vehicle used with 36,000 miles April 2007. In August 2007 my vehicle began to pull drastically to the right all the time. I had to hold the steering wheel with a tug to the left to keep on the road. If the wheel was let go I would crash instantly. Manufacture shop said the front tires worn at an angle which promoted the pull to the right. I replaced the tires and now have a slight pull to the left but not as bad. The manufacturer shop state no front end suspension problems noted. All tires are properly inflated to 40 - 44 psi. Two tires on the rear and a brake job were done by the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from.

I purchased Hyundai Accent 4dr coupe and was surprised at the instability caused by the tiny tires it comes equipped with. I was further disturb when I discovered that Hyundai was aware of this problem and put larger wheels and tires ont he gt version fo this car to increase stability. The basic car is dangerous to drive on winding roads and very unstable in emergency maneuvers with the standard wheel-tire combination. Hyundai should replace the standard wheel with larger more stable wheels and tires as they put on the gt version.
