Service Brakes problem #1

The abs control module needs replacing. The day it started with issues, my abs light as well as esc light, at first. Later all dash lights came on, loud beeping and eventually lost all power while driving. I understand the "fuse" was replaced during recall, but if the damage was already in the making, why should consumer have to pay? I have had it to two different mechanics, first was Hyundai dealer, both diagnostic ran, both same problem. Abs control module going out, interior failure!! my car only has 80,000!! yes, it 12 year old vehicle, has had routine maintenance and garage kept. This is a safety issue and should be taken care of by dealer.

I received a letter from you regarding “recall on the anti-lock brake system” letter states:: our records indicate that your vehicle is affected by this recall. So I contacted the Hyundai dealer here in el paso, made an appointment, (which took 2wks) went to the appointment showed them the letter & was told they would call me. I never heard back from them, I called again & informed them I was calling about the abs recall, I was told they had to order the part & would give me a call back, again never heard back from them. Sad to say they are the only Hyundai dealer here & they have refused to service my car. I have not made any more attempts to get the abs fuse replaced due to the unsatisfactory customer service received from them “they just didn't care” my ? is, how can you help me get this issue resolved. Thank you for hearing my complaint.

Service Brakes problem #18

I received a recall requesting that, for safety reasons, I leave my car out of my garage and away from structures that can catch fire. I did so until recently when we began to experience winter weather. I am 89 years old and parking my car outside my garage, in my driveway which gets snow and ice, is a safety concern for me. Hyundai corporate has not replied to three emails. I would like to get a rental car that I can park in my garage until Hyundai has fixed the recall. This should not be at my expense. Please advise. Service Brakes problem #24

Received recalled letter in mail for car almost 9 months ago. Hyundai has yet to issue fix. 9 months to fix a potential life threatening issue is ridiculous. To top things off we are told to continue driving the car even though it will eventually explode into a fireball of a mess after enough brake fluid leaks into electrical components. We have a 9 month old baby and the Hyundai Azera is considered our “family car”. Fix this ASAP! you’re putting families in danger. Either fix or supply families with a loaner car. Additionally, the advice from the car company is to leave car outside to avoid your house catching on fire. We are told to keep cars outside knowing these specific cars are theft liabilities.

The contact later became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 23v651000 (service brakes, hydraulic), which she related to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 165,000.
