42 Seats problem of the 2006 Hyundai Azera

Failure Date: 06/13/2010

While driving our 2006 Hyundai Azera on route 81 south the drivers seat started moving forward on it's own. I could not stop it. The seat pinned me against the steering wheel. Also the back of the seat also move forward and essentially pinned me against the steering wheel. I could not get the seat to go back for about a minute and a half. I got the seat to reset and it did the same thing a couple minutes later. This is very dangerous and only the fact that I am a very experienced driver avoided a catastrophic high speed accident. Fuccillo Hyundai of syracuse replaced the switch and charged us $ 202. 56 I contacted Hyundai corporate and reported what had happened and requested reimbursement they refused saying the car had 109000 miles on it; I believe that this is a latent safety defect and this should be fixed at no charge. You need to remember that I could not stop the seat from moving no matter how many times I tried to activate switch. The only way I could stop the seat from pinning me against the steering wheel was to remove the fuse.
