Two problems related to engine exhaust system have been reported for the 1996 Hyundai Elantra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Engine warning light comes on 8 times/seatbelts won't latch/transmission slips/poor acceleration/exhaust smells like "rotten eggs"--.
Engine check light illuminated and remained on, indicating malfunction within the exhaust system. Dealer states that problem occurs within enginecheck light sensor. Replaced the engine check light sensor which did not remedy the problem. Please give any further etails.
