Two problems related to engine shut off without warning have been reported for the 1996 Hyundai Elantra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Intermittently while driving the vehicle shuts off, giving the driver no indication. The dealer has not been able to duplicate problem.
While driving at any speeds, the engine shuts down, causing the vehicle to stall.
