I have owned my 2013 Hyundai Elantra since March 2019. And I have had to replace signal light 2 times. And brake lights 2 times. Is this a normal thing with these vehicles.
Brakes don't want to stop even after I've got them repaired brake lights keep going out even after the bulbs has been replaced.
For the brakes and lighting issue, my brake lights go bad every couple of months and need changed. I believe this is possibly to do with the recall for brakes. I have had people on many occasions stop me in traffic to let me know an entire side of lights were out at once. I have been pulled over more than once as well for my brake lights in the four years I've had my car. I always keep spare lights in my car for this reason. I called a&b kia, where I bought my car, who said my car was not part of the recall. However, with the many issues I've had with my brake lights I believe it is related. More recently than my brakes, my cruise control has stopped working. Within the past year it has slowly went from working sometimes to not working at all. Other functions on the steering wheel, such as volume and radio controls have not been affected.
Brake light replaced countless times on the drivers side. It continues to burn out.
Brake light is staying on at all times. I even replaced them and one still stays on at all times.
Brake lights all burnt out at the same time including the 3rd brake light - replaced the brake light sensor and all light bulbs - was notified by another driver the brake lights did not work - the cost for repair was $135. 00 - I can see maybe 1 light out but not all brake lights out at the same time.
I have replaced every light in the rear of this car over and over for the past year. The rear brake light actually melted. I have never had so many issues with rear lights in a car.
Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated the the rear taillights had to be replaced due to the brake light remaining illuminated even when the vehicle was turned off. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v574000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was taken to conicelli Hyundai located at west, 1208 ridge pike, conshohocken, PA 19428, (610) 624-2029, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the issue was due to wear and tear. The rear taillamps were replaced however, the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the wiring harness in the taillights were also melted. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. The VIN was not available. Ah.
My brake lights do not work, I've had them replaced 3 times. My rpms do not work when I push the gas, the vehicle won't go more than 20 mph, when changing my gears, it doesn't work, and when I am at a stop light or just sitting in a parking lot with the vehicle running it turns off on it's own. When I try to start the vehicle it won't turn most the time.
I am the only owner of my 2013 Hyundai Elantra that I bought brand new. I have had several issues electrical with lighting turning on and off - I thought I was burning through bulbs quickly but I can go over a bump and brake lights or interior lights will start to work again. This has been ongoing. I recently started hearing a loud engine knock which the Hyundai dealership told me is normal and would go away once it warmed up. Turns out when I took it to a mechanic who is honest and know what he is talking about that it is a wrist pin. . . . Which means a whole new engine. My car is now just out of warranty and Hyundai does not want to assist even though there are many cases with 2013 Hyundai motors that are bad. There should be a recall on this but isnt. The NHTSA should step in and make Hyundai do the right thing.
Passenger side brake light has burned out twice in two months.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. While the vehicle was parked, the battery died and the vehicle had to be jumpstarted in order to get to the contact's residence. The battery was replaced and the brake lights remained illuminated. The contact entered the vehicle and could not shift gears even when the brake pedal was depressed. The brake lights continued to remain illuminated at all times. The contact called the dealer (jenkins Hyundai in leesburg, florida) and was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

After turning the vehicle off, the rear brake lights remained illuminated. The fuse was removed in order to shut off the brake lights. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 76,244.
Theyre was a recall on,my brakes in 2016 the Hyundai shop said it was already fixed and now I have to pay but it has messed up again I have no brake lights. I didn't tv notice if I,bought it this way or just happened.
Side brake lights went out and overheated melting and cracking the lens. This is a defect that costs 560. 00. Doesn't make sense that a vehicle with this type of light doesn't have a safety mechanism to warn the driver. Needs to be recalled.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that both brake light bulbs failed to illuminate. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic seven times to have the brake light bulbs repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The dealer was not notified. I am replacing brake light bulbs a little to often I believe. And when I contact Hyundai they said theirs no recalls so maybe its electrical issue that they haven't discovered yet. Well obviously because it wouldn't be happening to my car so often. But after replacing the brake light bulbs maybe going on 6 times now my first headlight socket burnt out I went to auto zone and bought a replacement one. I am curious am I the only one having these problems ???.
