37 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2015

The car did not start! I drove to pick up my son, turned off and parked the car, got my son, went back in the car, and the car did not turn on. I could hear the noise of the starter. The car only has 45,000 miles. This is unbelievable! this is my first and only complaint of the car, but enough not to buy another Hyundai.

38 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2014

I purchased this vehicle in June 2013. I had no complaints until July of 2014, wherein my car picks and chooses when to start. I have looked online and there are many others who seem to have this complaint. I finally gave in on Aug. 24, after my car sat for two days because I could not get it to start. I called the Hyundai 24 hour roadside and had them tow it to the nearest dealership. The tow truck driver initially tried to start it, and it didn't. He popped the button nearest the top of the shifter and pressed it in, and put the car in neutral, it then started but sputtered like it wanted to turn off. He was able to drive the car onto the tow truck. The next morning, I spoke with the mechanic at the dealership who indicated that the car was starting for them just fine. He said there are so many sensors that it could be one, but they wouldn't know where to start as there are so many and could not make an educated guess. He wanted to keep it overnight to see if it would act up for them. It is now 2pm two days later and the mechanic claims there is still no issue, he said they have let it run all morning and it is fine. This has become ridiculous, especially when I see so many others with the same complaint, yet nothing being done. Help, NHTSA!.

The manufacturer was notified and the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. Updated 08/11/lj.

41 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2013

There are several issues with this vehicle 1. Steering- the electric steering makes this vehicle hard to maintain a straight line on the freeway. The auto steering or self correcting steering is dangerous and should have an off switch. 2. Traction control- the traction control is dangerous in ice, snow and rain. It has the opposite effect in these conditions, it would safer and would have more control if it is simply turned off. 3. Stalling- the vehicle stalls very easy, but I believe it due to saving gas at idle with lower rpm. (manual transmission) requires more gas when starting from a stop than any vehicle I've have owned. 4. Tps- tire pressure sensor never works always says there is an issue even after replacing sensors. These problems are constant since purchase!.

42 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2003

I was driving under 10 miles an hr because the roads were still wet from the night before as I am on the ramp to get on the highway barely turning the wheel it locks all the lights come on the dashboard such as abs and I crash into a railing because I couldn't move anything. Again only last week after this has been supposedly resolved driving barely going 2 miles my bf was actually driving and again roads were wet same thing all the abs sensor lights come on the dash the wheel locks and the car doesn't move, it's scary and ridiculous the amount of others I have found experiencing the same issue and from that accident I can barely drive now my anxiety and ptsd from the event has even affected my work so now I am losing money I didn't think I would ever fear being in a car and I hope you guys fix this so no one experiences what I am currently experiencing.
