Tire Pressure Light On problems of the 2013 Hyundai Elantra

1 Tire Pressure Light On problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2014

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Elantra equipped with nexen tires, tire line: cp671, and tire size: p205/55/r16. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the low pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was confirmed that a nail punctured the front passenger tire. The tire was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to a dealer where it was confirmed that a screw punctured the front passenger tire. The tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage of the tire and the vehicle was 7,492.

2 Tire Pressure Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2012

I was traveling on interstate when the tire pressure sensor indicate there was a problem with the tire. I pulled over and front passenger tire was extremely low. I used the air pump and filled tire. I exited the interstate and drove to the nearest tire repair shop. All 4 tires were below 32 psi. A digital reading indicated the tires range from 13 to 19 psi. I had the tires filled. On 12-17-2012 same problem. Tire sensor indicated there was a problem. I drove to mechanic and had tires check. All four tires were inspected and no damage or punctures were founded. All four tires were filled with air. On 12-29-12, tire pressure sensor came on. I drove to mechanic all four tire were check. All four tires were low (range of 12 to 21 psi). Tires were filled to 32 psi. On 1-8-2013, sensor came on again. Tire were check and all four tires were low (tire ranged from 15 to 22). All four tires were filled to 32 psi. On 1-21-13, tire pressure sensor light came on again. All four tires check and needed air. Digital reading indicated the tire range from 9 to 15 psi. Tires were filled back to 32 psi.
