The contact stated that shortly after purchasing the new vehicle it was discovered that the backup camera display screen image would flicker and was distorted creating a visibility hazard for the driver while operating the vehicle in reverse. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was diagnosed that the display unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50.
