Ref: NHTSA campaign no 13v489000 Hyundai Genesis 2012, 4. 6l, v8, 4 door sedan, with approx 77000 miles. In the last 6 weeks we had the brake pedal go all the way to the floor 3 times with little or no braking occurring. Two weeks ago this car was taken into liberty (feldman) Hyundai in new hudson, mich for repair of this brake problem. After $95 for an inspection, which did not include any oil change, the report was that no problem was found. This car was serviced in March, 2014, per Hyundai recall no. 114 bh hecu, which called for inspection and replacing the brake fluid. This was done. There have been no brake problems since that time until about 6 weeks ago. Some people, who have also had this problem, said that the brake fluid used was causing failure in the master brake cylinder valves. This is obviously a manufacturer's error, and Hyundai should be held responsible.
