The vehicle exhibits a severe vibration and shaking at normal highway speeds, most notably around 70–80 mph. The condition is repeatable and occurs during steady freeway driving. The vibration is strong enough that the vehicle feels unstable and unsafe to operate at typical highway speeds. This condition significantly affects safe freeway operation. Due to the severity of the shaking, I no longer feel comfortable or safe driving the vehicle at or above normal traffic speeds, which increases risk when merging, maintaining speed with traffic, or responding to road conditions. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by authorized dealerships. Multiple inspections and repair attempts have been performed over several months for the same vibration concern. Major drivetrain components, including the rear differential and driveshaft, were replaced, but the vibration remains unresolved. The servicing dealer has stated they do not have a further diagnostic path and are unable to continue addressing the issue. The issue has been ongoing since approximately November 2024 and has not been resolved despite repeated service visits. No warning lights or messages are present. The vibration is speed-dependent rather than engine-speed-dependent. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.

Each time service was required my car had suddenly stopped running without any acceleration. The start engine button would not work. Each time car was towed to serra Hyundai. At no time, was there any mentioning of needing a new engine or engine replacement. The service dates: 01/05/2023, 01/14/2023, and 04/14/2023. My last non acceleration occurred on night of June 4, 2023. It could have been tragic. I was accelerating to get on freeway heard a loud noise like something fell from up under car then vehicle just stopped and would not accelerate leaving me stranded and cars having to go around me. This could have been a terrible accident. I had car towed to serra Hyundai. The services being quoted to me is a new engine with estimated cost $7900. I cannot afford that amount and I’m now without a car. However because I have kept maintenance program up on my car the service department submitted pa101761. Unfortunately, it was declined because warranty has expired. In more research, there has been a recall on 2013-2015 Genesis coupe for the powertrain, engine and suspension. Therefore, Hyundai is fully aware there is an engine issue. The national highway transportation and safety administration (NHTSA) has 149 complaints with the same engine powertrain issues. Nhtsa id# 11435981 dated October 8, 2021 had the exact same issues with vehicle and experience(s) as myself. Hyundai has issued a recall. Recall 135, NHTSA campaign # 15v756000 and technical service bulletin(tsa)#15-01-054. In my opinion, everything described in this recall and every issue I have is outlined in this campaign. I’m being told my car VIN was not included. There have been several complaints over the years for same issue this cannot be coincidental. A recall should be issued for automatic 2013-15 Genesis coupe to include my VIN#. Most vehicles are at or approaching 10 years and warranty expired. I currently can’t afford new car and on fixed income, or $7900 new engine on 180,000 mile car.

The contact's son owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis coupe. The contact stated that while his son was driving at low speeds, the vehicle made abnormally loud noises. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the rear axle mounting bolt was fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis coupe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a whining noise was heard while depressing the accelerator pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer, where it was repaired under technical service bulletin #15-01-054 for rear differential inspection; however, the contact stated that the failure recurred and that while he was stopped at a stop signal, the vehicle lost motive power, and he noticed that the driveshaft had become detached. The vehicle was inoperable and was first towed to the residence and then back to the local dealer. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting further diagnostic and repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
There wasn't an accident, I have a 2017 Hyundai Genesis 3. 8. I'm wondering why nothing is being done about these cars from Hyundai that have these suspension problems that is not our fault. Now I have to fix the problem and it came from the factory this way.

While driving on the streets my car started feeling different it would jump gears and get stuck. I will come to stop or signal lights or pull over to the side on busy streets and freeways. Shut off my vehicle than restart it again. Sometimes it would help and most of the time it wouldn't. I had a fire last year a small box under my hood had caught on fire I reported it to my insurance. Electric box that got on fire. While I was driving my passenger tire came off I had went through 3 tires in one day the bolts keep getting lose. I just recently purchased a new transmission and now my mechanic told me my engine is no good . What do I do I purchase this used vehicle March 23 2019. And just started having problems all since April 2020.
There are 3 recalls that are found on my vehicle,2013 Hyundai Genesis coupe 2. 0t 15v756000, recall # 135,151,135 power train; driveline. Differential unit suspension rear.
When in motion, the vehicle starts to make a clanking sound repetitivly as if it was on a rotation. It's like a metronome best at 128bpm.

The front end of the vehicle is unstable due to constant vibration which is felt in the front drivers seat and steering wheel. The vibration causes the tires on the front end to wear prematurely, which could lead to blowouts.
When driving during heavy rain on the expressway the car begins to fishtail out of control. It forces the driver to drop their expressway speed to about 45 miles per hour. All the other traffic continues to pass by safely at speeds of 60 to 65 or more. This is a definite safety issue. When it began, I was nearly rear-ended by a semi when I was force to drive slowly in the right lane at only 40 to 45 in a 70 mph zone. If I dared to even try to go any faster the car would begin fishtailing. None of the other traffic had any issue going faster, and I never experienced this in the 2013 Genesis I had previously. I have read of similar complaints and have been told that the car is reacting to its front sensor being 'blinded'. This is definitely a design flaw, and there does not appear to be any way to disable or inform the censor to ignore the present situation.
Since new it has been difficult to maintain alignment. At first it would be aligned and then it would take 5000 miles to move out of spec (bad on all numbers, but camber and caster are the worst). Service has tried to claim it received frame damage at some point. After conducting an undercar review there appears to be no damaged suspension components. There is a non-structural plastic support at the base of the radiator that was distorted when the car struck a tire tread on the freeway. The car was inspected by the insurance carrier, determined brace not structural and did not replace, treated for cosmetic damage and returned to service. Prior to this the vehicle already had issues with premature tire wear, pulling to the right side and being able to maintain alignment. For at least the last 25,000 miles I have been having the vehicle re-aligned each 3000 miles. At one time we'd be able to align the suspension but within 500 miles it would begin moving back out of spec. Currently the mechanics are finding it more difficult to get it within spec. The fact that this seems to be getting worse over time, it leads me to believe that there must be either an underlying design flaw, or there is a component failure occurring somewhere within the front suspension. The Hyundai Genesis has no mechanism to handle caster or camber adjustment. The mechanics have all stated that the only option to enable the vehicle to be properly aligned is the installation of a camber/caster adjustment kit. However they say this isn't something available from Hyundai (though I have read otherwise from online sources), and since the vehicle is still within the extended warranty plan I am hesitant to have such a product installed anywhere but at a dealership as I expect it would lead to additional finger-pointing and warranty debate down the road.
I purchased the car in January 2017 after 2 months of having the car the windows would not go up. I would have to wait hours for it to start back working. The suspension was low for a few weeks then it would slowly come back up. Basically my whole car has electrical problems back up camera goes black, the odometer has dead pixels, car extremely sluggish, the car shakes and kills alot. Also when I turn the heated seats on it turns off within 2 minutes. It is so much the car is doing to say this car has a clean carfax.
My windshield wipers do not clear the windshield properly in inclement weather, my brakes sometimes make scrubbing sounds, my tires seem slippery sometimes when turning a curve, and my car jerks sometimes when pulling off after sitting still.
Tires-michelin energy saver a/s size: p235/50r18 on the front passenger side. The tire has a 5" deep crack on the outside wall of the tire and also several other noticeable cracks throughout the tire especially on the outer wall.
After tire recall and computer update we first noticed a vibration or shudder for the first few miles. Dealer eventually changed 23 separate tires and problem persists. M. Stahl of Hyundai states this is a characteristic of low profile tires. Electrical problems began showing up on a rotating basis. Including, park assist not working regularly. Ventilation changing on its own. Blind spot indicators not working. Rear windows not working. Heated seats not heating. Dash display changes on it's own. Folding mirrors not folding as they should. Car went dead once. Zero acceleration twice when merging into traffic. Smart trunk not functioning. Vents blowing ice cold air without ac being on. Most of these have been photographed or videod. Dealer employees have also witnessed most of these. Occurrences have been in all driving conditions from stationary, back roads and highways. I have all repair orders documenting over 60 days of loss of use while car was at the dealer.
The rear tires wear incredibly quick 60,000 mile tires in 11,000 50,000 mile tires in 19,000 cheap tires even quicker. I took the car into Hyundai for them to take a look at it and the said everything was fine with the car. Everything checked out the alignment was fine. I took the car to my mechanic he said the alignment was fine but there has to be something wrong with the car for this to happen. He said he would have to take the rear end off the car to find out where the problem is. I called Hyundai and they asked me to go to another dealership and have them look at it which I did and they said nothing was wrong with the car and charged me $134. 70 when Hyundai themselves asked me to take it to them . There is definitely something wrong and Hyundai keeps trying to blame the tires. This is a severe safety hazard . After the first set wore down I thought it was the tires. Put on michelin pilot a/3 a very good tire was coming home on the highway it started raining and I went sideways. Luckily I caught it in time and straightened the car out. I had no idea why this happened until I got home driving extremely slow in the right lane to find I had no tread after 11,000 miles on the michelin's. The car has less than 40,000 miles and this will be the 4th set of rear tires.

"I was subjected to a sudden acceleration last night while driving my 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4. 6. I left a full stop and sighted another car speeding toward a stop sign coming from my left. To avoid being broadsided I swerved to avoid and my accelerator jammed. I sped across the street and into a landscaped area. I hit a tree at that point which brought my vehicle to a stop. The driver side air bag deployed and I was wearing a seat belt. I sustained some impact injuries that appear to be of a minor nature. A lake was located just beyond the tree and I deliberately selected the medium size tree as a target. I was fortunate. I sustained a back injury some years ago and drive with two feet - one for the accelerator and one for the brake. There was therefore no chance that my foot slipped from one pedal to the other. After second time another window lift (failed without any use) fell down, went to dealer for repair. [the darkened window films were left scratched with open spaces at each repair. ] auto released to customer for a few days until parts would arrive, after recall service. Was told stop lamp switch replacement would fix all previous esc and transmission lockup complaints. Not! after leaving dealership when slowing to 20 mph with electronic doors locked and windows closed, tapped brake, caused automobile to lurch violently to a sudden stop in rush hour traffic. Smoke filled the interior and neither doors nor windows would open, and dash lights flashed intermittently on a random basis, with out logic, and died. Auto was immobilized and could not be shoved nor driver extracted by fire department response (2). Eventually was able to cause passenger power window (only) to lower halfway during final flash from lights. With help was able to escape. Trunk was opened with manual key (key fob inoperative) and swelled battery was melting down, with ventilation, did not explode. The oem battery location failed by sedimentation shorts from a "goosey" suspension. Dealer retrieved vehicle, after window lift replaced, demanded customer removal by putting bad battery from another vehicle in for jump start. Drove to nearest after market store for adsorbed glass mat (agm) battery to preclude future fires. Driver's door actuator total failure replaced (37631). Brake light switch replaced again (46704). Brake switch diode recall refused by dealerships that continue to also refuse to adjust emergency free play, at any cost. Porous oem tires replaced for safety. This car is considered unsafe to drive unless one window remains lowered for an escape path.
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle shook violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the failure. The technician diagnosed that the front rotors bended and caused the front suspension to fracture. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 7,200.
Car's steering tracking to the right consistently at highway speed (within 5 seconds). Two dealers both claim this to be normal after multiple visits. Technician claim their sop only test at 45mph for 7 seconds. Corporate office also refused to help.
Tire wear uneven, right front passenger worst. Constant severe pull to the right able to change lanes to right without hands on steering wheel. And very minimal pull to left at times while driving on highway (most notable) and city streets. While driving feels like car bottoms out over bumps/holes or on city streets/highways with rough road since purchased in 2012. Cannot adjust alignment on right side, right camber always negative and told no fix for this and cause for excessive wear on tire and pulling to right. Paint chipping underneath driver side door on body. Bottoming out and tire pulling to right first looked at on 11/21/2012.
The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Genesis equipped with dunlop sp sport 235/50/r18 tires. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked when he noticed that all of the tires were exhibiting excessive tread wear. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, but they could not diagnose the failure. The manufacturer of the tires was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The tires were replaced and the vehicle was aligned. The failure mileage was 14,136 updated 12/06/lj
updated 14/14/11.

Car pulls to right with factory alignment.
In my opinion there is a defect in 2009 Hyundai Genesis sedan v6 model the suspension behavior changes abruptly when going from driving nicely smooth freeways to more stand surfaced urban streets. The ride on the former is normally smooth, firm but acceptable however on the later the wheels bounce so badly that at times they break contact with the street surface. It literally tosses the rear occupants around and makes it difficult for the driver to control the vehicle. I have tried everything I can do including change the wheels back from the optional 18inch rims to 17inch rims and increasing the tire series from the sporty 55 series to the must compliant series 60 tire recommended by the factory.
Have 2009 Hyundai Genesis and had a big problem with the car pulling to the left and then the right. Has been at the dealership over 5 times, multiple repairs of alignment and can't correct the issue. I even had 3 independent shops evaluate and then confirm issue and now Hyundai states they can no longer confirm problem. They were surprised when I produced the independent opinions. I will not place my family in this vehicle. Hyundai needs some pressure to correct this issue and their behavior has been appalling. I realized this issue the day after I picked up the car and Hyundai has been very resistant to help but I think it is because they can not correct the problem.
