The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Genesis. While parked on a slight incline with the engine turned off, he exited the vehicle. Unexpectedly, the vehicle rolled backwards in the parking lot. The front passenger was able enter the driver side seat to turn the engine on and place the gear shifter into 'park". There were no injuries or damages. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer. The technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired for the malfunction. The failure and current mileages were 15,000. Updated 02/23/10.
