Occasionally while driving, the entire center console display screen will sshut off (turn black) and reset after a minute. I have also noticed at various times that my center console button lights flash (emergency light button and heat control) when I turn on my blinker regardless if im stopped or moving. I have videos that are to larege to upload.
The contact owns a 2026 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while an occupant was seated in the second row passenger seat, the contact accidentally tapped the "one-touch" tilt-and-slide button. Despite the occupant seated in the second row, the seat continued to fold, nearly crushing the occupant. The occupant managed to jump out of the vehicle as the seat continued to fold; they did not suffer any injuries. The contact stated that the vehicle was in park(p) at the time of the failure, which allowed the occupant to reach safety; the contact noted that had a child or a pet been seated in that second row, the results could have been fatal. The contact received an email from a "reuters" news article about Hyundai manufacturer recall number 296, which the contact related to the seat failure in the recall. The remedy for the recall was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable time for the recall repair. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer had yet been notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
While on/idol, the 3rd row seat (left/drivers side) folded down on my 9 year old niece. Myself, mother, 6 year old daughter, sister in law, brother and 12 year old niece all witnessed this happen as we were loading into the car after playing at the park (I had the car turned on). Her head got pinned to the headrest of the 2nd row captain seat. The buttons did not respond as they usually/supposed to do to stop and reverse the folding action. The seat continued to press against her skull. After realizing the buttons in the cargo were not going to work, I had an idea and ran to the 2nd row door and pressed the captain seat button to slide it forward (my child was in that captain seat in a rear facing carseat). It wasn't able to move much but enough that the trapped girl was able to force her head out and her mom pulled her the rest of the way out to release her. It was very traumatizing. That 3rd row seat remained in that almost closed position as the buttons still would not function so we drove home. Eventually I tried the buttons in the again and it unfolded the seat. I have tested these buttons over and over since then to figure out what happened. Every time I test them, each button allows me to either release it and the action stops, or press the button again and the action stops. I do not know why it wouldn't respond to doing that same that day. Prior to that incident, sometime between getting the car on 7/31 and mid-November, I had an empty unbuckled backless booster car seat in the third row right/passenger side as a backup for daughters friends to use, and without remembering it was there, I pressed the button to fold down the 3rd row right side chair and it kept stopping and auto reversing, several times before I realized OH ya, the booster is back there. So when the innocent happened with my niece, it came as a big surprise because that booster weighs nothing compared to a 9 year old. It has not happened again.
The instrument cluster went blank and didn't return until SUV was restarted. Another time the instrument cluster had part's of it go out and in but stablelizd whiteout restarting the . The SUV continued to run with out interruptions. Hyundai dealer said they couldn't fix it unless it was acting up at the time they had it which is going to be hard to catch.

Nhtsa safety defect report vehicle: 2026 Hyundai Palisade hybrid mileage at failure: approximately 3 weeks from new location: colorado description of failure while driving under completely normal conditions on a local road with no overpasses, no debris, and no external hazards, the sunroof glass suddenly exploded upward without warning. There was: no rock impact no falling object no roadway debris no weather event the glass failure originated from within the sunroof structure and shattered outward/upward. Out-of-control shipping period because this vehicle was purchased new, it spent a period of time in manufacturer and dealership custody during shipping and storage prior to delivery. During that time: the vehicle was not in owner control any manufacturing defect, stress fracture, or transit-related glass damage could only have originated before delivery danger created sudden explosive glass failure while driving, no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure or after the failure. Risk of facial injury risk of shattered glass entering vehicle cabin risk of loss of vehicle control extreme startle response at speed this could easily have caused a serious accident or injury. Manufacturer response Hyundai dealership and Hyundai consumer affairs reviewed photographs submitted by the dealer and wrongfully denied warranty coverage, claiming outside damage without any physical proof. Important note this appears to be a tempered glass manufacturing or transit defect, consistent with internal stress fractures that cause spontaneous sunroof explosions.
Excesive oil burning. Alternater went bad.

I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade with fewer than 5,000 miles. Hyundai has now issued recall 296 stating that the second and third row power seats may not respond properly when contacting an occupant or object. Prior to receiving the recall notice, I had already taken the vehicle to the dealership three separate times regarding problems with the rear seats and unexplained battery failures. Each time I was told nothing was wrong with the seats. The first incident occurred when my child was seated in the rear seat. I attempted to move the seat backward to create more space, but instead of opening properly the seat continued moving in a way that began closing toward my child and would not stop. I was able to quickly remove my child before the seat fully closed. The seat then continued moving on its own. The second incident involved the vehicle battery completely dying without warning. When aaa came to jump start the vehicle, I heard the rear seat motors operating mechanically even though no one was using the seats. The third incident occurred when the battery died again and aaa was called a second time. During the jump start I again heard mechanical movement from the rear seat motors. I had to pay to replace the battery even though the vehicle was nearly new. I informed the dealership multiple times that I believed the issue was related to the seat system, but they told me they could not find anything wrong. Given that Hyundai has now issued recall 296 regarding malfunctioning power seats, I am extremely concerned that this defect presents a serious safety hazard, particularly to children in the rear seats. I believe the seat system may also be draining the battery due to unintended motor operation.
My sunroof was working perfectly fine a month ago. I opened it while I was driving to get some air 10/28/2025 and heard a cracking noise. I immediately stopped it. The glass was off the track and it would not close. It only opens a little then stops. Took it to Hyundai dealership and they said in their report"the tracks are cracked, glass came off the track and tracks are warped. " this is going to cost me 3k and this was clearly a malfunction of the vehicle!!.

Entire instrument cluster goes black while driving. Speedometer, odometer, tachometer, turn signal indicators, everything stops working and just a blank screen. Have a video of it happening. Took it to Hyundai and they would not approve tear down to find what is causing and said that it is not a safety concern, yet this would cause the vehicle to fail safety inspection in our state.
New Hyundai Palisade hybrid calligraphy awd speedometer and critical information screen and heads up display while driving goes blank. This has happened to me twice. I have been directly in contact with Hyundai USA and my local dealership to resolve this critical safety issue. Hyundai engineers have been working the issue with suggestions to my dealership to identify and resolve the problem. Hyundai engineers are shotgunning the solution with no success. With this safety issue in mind, I request that you contact Hyundai to request they have a product recall on this vehicle. This problem puts just not me but all other drivers at a significant safety risk on our highways. I request feeds back on this issue.
When driving over railroad tracks or entry gates, the vehicle skids forward in an uncontrollable manner and vehicle is unable to stop when I press on the brake pedal. I have to put the car in “park” to stop the vehicle from rolling into oncoming traffic or colliding into the car in front of me. It appears to be an abs problem.

I was driving through town at a low rate of speed (20-30 mph) with 2-3 car lengths between me and the next vehicle. I continued through light to next light. This distance was on an upward incline. After traveling approximately 500 ft, I noticed the traffic slowing in front of me and took my foot off the accelerator to start to slow down. This is when the car suddenly accelerated (instead of slowing down as would be expected when traveling up an incline), picking up speed quickly. The car's response happened so quickly that I was unable to swerve to avoid hitting the car in front of me. I hit the car in front of me that was slowing down at the light which then subsequently hit several other vehicles that were in front of it that were also slowing/stopped for the light. The front airbag deployed as a result of the collision, knocking my glasses off. The vehicle was still continuing in forward motion after the collision…. Traffic crash report states, “. . . [witness] went up to unit 1 [palisade], and the tires were still spinning…” as I was in shock after the collision, a bystander came up to the vehicle to turn it off and this is when the wheels/forward motion was completely stopped. This Palisade is equipped with forward collision avoidance assist (fca) system. There was no warning given nor did the vehicle attempt to slow down during the event so I believe that this system failed to operate which contributed to the collision. I also believe that there was a failure with the engine/electrical system, etc, and/or transmission that caused the system to suddenly accelerate while traveling uphill after I removed my foot from the gas pedal. The vehicle was totaled by my insurance company. They did say that they were sending an engineer to review the event data recorder. I have not seen any results from that nor do I have the vehicle in my possession as it was totaled.
Batteries in the brand new 2026 Hyundai Palisade are failing by dying unexpectedly with under 500 miles on the vehicle. I have documented over 20 instances with new owners online. This is a safety concern because it can leave people stranded in cold weather. It appears to be an issue with the digital key. I contacted Hyundai and they are not concerned. They just test the battery and say they can't find anything wrong.
Rear passenger captain chairs and third row bench do not respond to occupancy when folding. I have dogs who I put in the cargo area with the third row down. My dogs are prone to move and bump buttons which has caused one or both captains chairs to move forward when loading them into the vehicle. Hyundai is aware of the problem and a temporary remedy is pending. There were no warning lights or messages prior. From a complete stop acceleration is intermittently jerky until a speed over 30mph is achieved. This is likely to do with the engine but I’m unsure if that’s the only component involved. Safety has not been at risk yet because it still accelerates but in a very jerky manner. Definitely has caused anxiety wondering if/when it will get worse. There have been no warning lights or notifications prior to this happening.
On September 11, 2025, Hyundai of new port richey (lithia motors) executed a certified pre-owned (cpo) contract and delivered a 2023 Hyundai Palisade (VIN: [xxx] act day the manufacturer issued a federal stop-sale for recall #283 (seatbelt latch failure). Internal documents show the cpo sale relied on mechanical inspection data from 34 days prior (August 8, 2025). There is no documentation of a point-of-sale safety check performed on September 11, resulting in the vehicle being sold despite the active stop-sale order. Presumably, because the sale occurred on the exact date recall #283 was issued, we were excluded from the manufacturer's October safety mailing. We unknowingly operated the vehicle for seven months without knowledge of the seatbelt defect, though we did receive subsequent notices for campaigns 9c9, 9c8, and recall #292 (ejection mitigation). Combined, the active status of recall #283 and recall #292 leaves the vehicle with zero safe seating positions. Furthermore, internal records show the vehicle failed a computer diagnostic test ('ng' code) with a severely depleted 11. 90v battery prior to purchase. The cpo sale was executed without resolving this documented fault. This correlates to a severe electrical issue where the parked vehicle spontaneously unlocks. Attached documents: "palisade sales paperwork" - documents the 9/11/25 purchase date. "palisade repair order" - documents the electrical/battery failure. (I also possess a video from the Hyundai technician confirming the battery issue). "final evidentiary summary" - chronological timeline of the transaction. "palisade inspection form" - August 8, 2025, internal document recording the battery failure and outdated recall checks. This was not provided to us with the 9/11/25 purchase paperwork, and the customer signature is left blank. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. Vehicle failed to start in dealer's service stall. Fault was corrected 6 days later. Repair order described fault as "2 wires touching under driver's seat". Service desk stated the problem was pre-existing. I would be fearful of the consequences if those two wires "touched" while driving.

While sitting at a stop sign, I attempted to place my vehicle in park. I opened the driver’s side door, but the car had not actually shifted into park. None of the vehicle’s safety systems engaged when the door was opened. The car rolled forward with me partially outside the vehicle, dragging me until it struck a tree. This incident reflects a critical failure in the vehicle’s electrical/safety systems: •the transmission did not engage park when selected. •the door-open rollaway prevention system did not activate. •the automatic front collision system failed to stop the vehicle. Because multiple electronic safeguards failed at the same time, this appears to be an electrical or computer system malfunction rather than driver error.

On [xxx] the engine light went on my 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUV. Immediately I drove over the Hyundai dealership to try to find out what the problem was. On my way there, the light remained on, and the car kept making movements as if it was going to turn off, I could barely make the speed increase as I was driving. I went to healey Hyundai located at 794 route 52 fishkill NY 12524 phone number 845 831 1090 . In spite, the car light on and the issues they refused to attend the car and asked me to go back Monday morning, which I did , same issued on my way there, and I arrived there with the engine light on , service advisor rasheena m dyer , took the car, saw the light on, took pictures and asked me to wait for the mechanic to review the car. After two hours the service advisor, said “ there’s nothing we could do, or anything could do, the car is misfiring and anything could be causing the car to misfired, the mechanic don’t see the light right now, therefore, we can’t diagnose anything, but the car is misfiring “. I replied:” my car is under 50,000 miles and under manufacturer warranty, can you give me a rental, while you fixed the engine problem, I have 5 children , how can I drive around with my kids with an engine light on and the issues is giving me”, she replied: we won’t give you a rental because we don’t know what the problem is , ( although they know and said the car motor is misfiring )unless you pay $200 dollars . They sent me away with the engine light on, and the car making sounds and movements as if is going to go off anytime . Hyundai refused to help me although the engine lights are on and my car is still under warranty. I took the car that same day to monro auto service at 64 north plank road ,newburgh NY 12550, and the checked the car and confirmed that there’s nothing wrong with the oil, or filters as the dealership try to implied , is an engine-firing problem that again, Hyundai dealership refuses to fix. The abs engaged unnecessarily when I pressed the brake pedal, causing the vehicle to slide forward about 6-10 feet while I was driving at approximately 10 miles per hour. The same situation has occurred three times over the past seven months. When the abs engages, it takes longer for the vehicle to slow down or stop. This poses a potential risk for everyday driving. Instrument cluster has stopped working. Issue has been confirmed with matt bowers Hyundai in gulfport, ms. Similar to the TSB 22-01-058h. Instrument cluster fails to display rpms, temperature, speed, and fuel level. Auto bright headlights fail, seatbelt warning lights fail. Cruise control becomes inactive. Also have noticed this to cause parking sensors to become inaccurate.
Vehicle information: year: 2020 make: Hyundai model: Palisade component(s): air conditioning system / a/c compressor problem description: the air conditioning compressor on my 2020 Hyundai Palisade has failed and does not function properly. The a/c system does not blow cold air, making the vehicle extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in hot weather conditions, especially with small children riding in the vehicle. Hyundai has issued a technical service bulletin (TSB) regarding a known defect with the a/c compressor in this model. Despite this, the dealership and manufacturer have refused to cover the repair or replacement under warranty or goodwill, even though this is clearly a widespread and acknowledged defect. I was quoted nearly $5,000 for the repair, which I cannot afford. Safety concern: while the issue may appear to be only comfort-related, lack of functioning a/c creates real safety risks: heat-related health concerns in hot climates, particularly for small children and elderly passengers. Reduced visibility if the defroster system does not work properly (since the a/c system is needed to remove moisture and fog from windows). Timeline of events: vehicle purchased: purchased December 2023 first noticed issue: 8/2/2025 brought vehicle to dealership: 09/12/2025 dealer confirmed issue with a/c compressor but refused repair, citing that only certain vins or conditions are covered, even though a TSB exists. Request: I am filing this complaint because Hyundai is aware of this widespread a/c compressor defect (per their TSB) but is not providing proper warranty coverage or resolution. This places an unfair financial burden on consumers and presents a potential safety hazard, especially for families with small children who cannot safely ride in extreme heat without a functioning a/c system.
All the dash light are on, warning signs flash, steering get heavy, speedo not working, signal indicator not working on dash. Not safe. Dealer drove the car and checked everything, could not get the car to do it again. I picked the car up and within 13 miles the dash was lit up like a christmas tree, lots of error messages, steering very heavy07/21/24. 14,500 miles on car.
My vehicle has an issue with the anti lock braking system on uneven surfaces. On several occasions since buying the vehicle earlier this year, I've observed the issue of chattering or severe on-off reaction of the abs to gradual braking onnuneven surfaces. I have not had the issue verified by a dealer yet, but plan to soon. The malfunction has extended stopping distances significantly. I have not noticed warning lights during or after the malfunction, likely because I'm focused on safely bringing the vehicle to a stop during the malfunction. My vehicle can be made available for inspection.
My 2022 Hyundai Palisade has repeatedly shut off while coming to a stop. The vehicle stalls unexpectedly, dashboard lights illuminate as if the vehicle is being restarted, and the gear sometimes shifts into neutral. I have to manually restart the car to resume driving. This issue has occurred multiple times under normal driving conditions—both when the idle stop & go (isg) system is enabled and disabled. The frequency of these stalls has increased, and they present a dangerous situation, especially at intersections or during heavy traffic. After researching online, I found that numerous 2020–2022 Palisade owners have reported the same symptoms. Many of them were told by their dealers that an ecu and/or tcu software update was needed. This suggests a broader systemic issue with the vehicle’s powertrain management system, which should warrant further investigation. As of now, no recall has been issued, but this is a recurring issue that poses a risk to driver and passenger safety. Hyundai has not officially acknowledged a recall or permanent fix, but affected vehicles are being patched with software updates at the dealer level.

I recently purchased a Hyundai vehicle and discovered that the previous owner still has full access to the vehicle’s bluelink system. This includes remote start/stop, vehicle tracking, horn/lights, and other controls. Despite contacting Hyundai support and proving ownership, they still have not revoked or disabled this access. I am unable to override or reset the system myself. This poses a serious safety concern, because an unauthorized individual can: •remotely disable the vehicle while in motion or parked, •track my exact real-time location, or •manipulate vehicle functions without my knowledge or consent. This is not a one-off issue. Hyundai has no effective system in place to guarantee owner control or revoke prior access, which leaves other buyers vulnerable too. This constitutes a design flaw in connected vehicle control systems, not just an isolated customer service problem.
My 2020 vehicle stopped on me while I was driving on the interstate! beforehand, I had no issues with the vehicle driving or otherwise. The alternator has gone out on it! there was no prior warning. It just stopped while I was driving and I was stranded for hours! I’m a female. It’s costing me hundreds of dollars for a fairly new car!.
The instrument cluster seems to fail more so in the hotter weather. The speedometer, rpms and gas gauge just stop working altogether. This seems extremely similar to the issues of other Hyundai vehicles that were recalled. The blind spot monitoring turns on and off as it pleases and there is a message that comes up sometimes that say it has been turned off due to electrical failure. The hdmi port in the counsel does not work but half the time so using android auto fails constantly. The radio signal is very poor in the car, resulting in static and high pitched noises on the stations and cannot use regular stations. There also is a huge oil consumption and oil burn smell and leak. This also seems very common for other Hyundai vehicles that have been recalled. Having to put 4-5 quarts in per month and only drive it maybe 1,500 miles in that time frame. There is a pause bumpiness when having to accelerate sometimes as well, followed by failure of oxygen sensor smells and baffles within the muffler seem to often have weird sounds. Have had the vehicle for 1 year and it was bought as a Hyundai certified pre-owned vehicle. It only has about 85k miles on it.
The speedometer occasionally would not work. Typically all other dash features would and I could get speed through digital reading. Today, none of the dash reading work. My speedometer has the dial at 155. The digital reads 0, gas shows e, miles to empty remained at 260 for the over 10 mile drive, ramps as well as coolant didn’t register and were at 0 and c. This is a hazard as it is a safety requirement to follow the speed limit when driving. This placed myself and others in danger. You are welcome to inspect this. When I have called the dealer previously for this concern, I was told that this would need to be covered by myself. A simple internet search shows that this is a more common issue than it should be.
Car will not turn on with push to start button. Car will not start or turn on with bluelink app car will only start with the key fob.
Recall #25v-291.
My car was making a rattling noise from the engine and would stutter at a stop and sometimes kick into park or turn off. No warning lights would turn on, on the dash board warning I was low on oil. The back passenger brake light warning light turned on. The third seat middle seatbelt does not lock. I took into Hyundai to get it serviced and I had to pay for my car to be put on a diagnostic test. I was told I was low on oil. I never had any warning lights go on, on my dashboard. My motor could have blown out. The only warning light I got was my back light is out. I never had any warning signal go on my dashboard saying my seatbelt doesn’t lock. I had it serviced 2025 and again the same back tail light is out. I have kept my vehicle maintenance up to date. I am going to have to schedule another appointment for my back tail light ( same side) to get repaired.
About 1 year ago, my child was in a forward-facing car seat in the third row. The power seat button was activated, and the seat started to fold down with my child in a car seat. It did not stop. I was panicked but luckily was able to act quickly and get the seat to stop without him being seriously injured. This was reported to Hyundai at the time and Hyundai disregarded my claim. I am now seeing a recall for this functionality in the 2026 Palisade. This is a problem dating back to the 2021 Palisade as I experienced it over a year ago.
Ac failire im summer, just outside warranty but TSB issued. Holler Hyundai service wants to charge me $350 diagnostic fee to take a look and diagnose. Extreme heat while having to use vehicle to go to work, run errands and transport children. No alternate vehicle is available and dealership is unreasonable to work with. Due to high humidity in florida windows fog and hard to defog, visibility is impaired suddenly while driving.
