The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 25v607000 (seat belts) and 26v034000 (air bags); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, and the seat belt was released, the chime sounded for an extended while, indicating that the seat belt was not fastened. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle bounced like the rear shocks were failing, allowing the passengers to feel any uneven pavement. While accelerating, the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the rear shocks had failed and needed to be replaced.
