2 Warning problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 07/30/2025

**vehicle:** 2021 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy, ~75,000 miles. Purchased February 2025. **problem 1 - forward camera failure:** the forward-facing camera system controlling lane keeping assist, emergency braking, and lane departure warning has completely failed. Dashboard warnings appeared in recent weeks including "check forward safety system" and "forward safety system disabled" before total failure. This eliminates critical safety features designed to prevent accidents, significantly increasing collision risk. Camera unit behind rearview mirror available for inspection. **problem 2 - rear shock failure:** rear shock absorbers have failed, causing excessive clunking and compromised vehicle stability. Rear suspension has been clunking since purchase in February. This creates dangerous driving conditions with reduced stability, increased stopping distances, and poor emergency handling. This is a known issue covered under Hyundai technical service bulletin 22-22-001h. **safety risk:** both failures create serious safety hazards - eliminating collision avoidance systems and compromised vehicle control/stability. **professional confirmation:** local Hyundai dealer has confirmed both the camera system failure and rear shock absorber failure through diagnostic testing and inspection. **components available:** both the failed camera system and rear shock absorbers remain available for inspection upon request. **request:** investigation and remedial action for these safety-critical defects, particularly given the rear shock issue is a documented manufacturing problem per TSB 22-22-001h.

Failure Date: 12/03/2024

The lane guidance and lane assist malfunctions / failures numerous times at highway speeds. The vehicle tried to forcibly steer me into the next lane for no reason. Typically a vehicle is approaching from the rear and the acting by the Palisade would have caused a serious accident. This has been documented numerous time since November 25, 2024. The steering places excessive force on the steering which is very traumatic on the highway driving at posted speeds. In the event my wife was driving the 2025 Palisade, she wouldn't have been able to keep the vehicle centered in the lane, due to the forces on the steering wheel. This has occurred numerous times over the past 8 months. No real help from Hyundai corporate cust serv, since Dec 2024. Claim 40091189 while going down a 4 lane road, babcock road, palm bay FL, the at around 40 mph the vehicle immediately reduced my speed to 20 mph. This nearly caused a major accident. There was no reason for the drop in speed so abruptly. I had not touched any controls, cruise control was not on, there wasn't a school zone. Something caused the vehicle to reach that way immediately. By pushing on the gas pedal did nothing. It remained at around 20 mph till I was able to turn off into a parking lot and the engine turned off. There are numerous intermittent problems with this 2025 Palisade that need to be addressed be for the vehicle causes a major accident and lives lost. 7 Warning problem of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/23/2022

I purchased this vehicle on 9/17 and since day 1 the infotainment system will not turn on when starting the car. It has a digital instrument display and infotainment which control 90% of the vehicle functions. I have opened a case with Hyundai # 20328505 who took 2 weeks t call me and had no resolution other than to let the dealer handle it. I have been to the dealer 3 times now and they can't figure out what the issue is. This is a major safety issue if I can't tell how fast I'm going and or the safety functions don't work.

8 Warning problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 06/03/2022

The car pulls to the right and it is hard to steer left. At speeds higher than 50mph the steering wheels vibrates when turning left to correct the veering. The lane departure and lane keeping assist to not operate correctly because the car veers to the right. I have had the car serviced twice within one week of purchasing and there is no fix from the dealer nor Hyundai. This issue was apparent within minutes of first driving the car, there are no warning lights. The alignment is out of spec but cannot be corrected by the dealer. The cause is reported as an issue with the steering angle sensor.

9 Warning problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 06/04/2021

Windshield cracks with the slightest impact. After 2 replacement windshields and camera calibration performed four times, the vehicle still strays into oncoming traffic lane and over the fog line with lane keep assist and lane following assist activated. Camera has been calibrated three times at safelite and one time at Hyundai dealer. The lka & lfa systems were precise in their operation when I purchased the vehicle. Now the vehicle self steers into oncoming traffic with no warning until the vehicle is over the center line. Scary as hell. Apparently Hyundai has defective and weak windshields across the board according to many internet sources. Also, apparently the recalibration procedure is not working, causing a major safety issue in these vehicles.

While driving on April 18/2021, my 7-month-old less than 2000 miles Hyundai Palisade started to give me alerts that some safetyfeatureswere shutting down. With messages like this "check forward collision-avoidance assist system", the same happened with the lane departure system and other safety features. Since then the car has continued giving system errors after the car has been driving for a few minutes. I have already an appointmentwith the dealer's service department on 4/30.

12 Warning problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 11/22/2020

I was travelling at 50mph under cruise control with lane following and lane keeping. A car drove past me in the lane to my left at about 65mph. The computer quickly turned my wheels and sent me into the lane at my right. It was a turning lane and unoccupied. The angle of the car to the turning lane was steep. I regained control of the car before it could go off the highway to the left.

The car was keeping the car centered in lane. There was a very slight curve to the lane. The car did not respond quickly. When the car was violating the opposite edge of the lane it over corrected to get centered. Then it violated the other edge and over corrected even more.
