Tl the contact owns a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. While the vehicle was undergoing an alignment, the independent mechanic diagnosed that the front coil springs were rusted, fractured, and needed to be replaced. In addition, the abs warning indicator illuminated, there was an abnormal noise, and the vehicle was unstable when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact had to cautiously apply the brake pedal and, at times, depress the brake pedal with force to ensure that the vehicle would stop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. 2 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2014

Tl-the contact owns 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving at 30 mph, the contact heard a loud noise coming from the front end of the vehicle as the vehicle veered to the right. The contact put the vehicle in park to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The technician diagnosed that the front driver's side coil spring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. However, the failure recurred and the contact noticed that the coil spring of the front passenger's side had fractured. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v350000 (suspension) the failure mileage was 92,000. Oo.

3 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2014

Tl-the contact owns a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, there was a loud noise coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front coil spring needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure and the VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number:14v435000(suspension). The failure mileage was 70,000. Ss.

4 Suspension Noise problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2011

My air bags light is always on and will not turn off. The suspension is horrible, I took it to a mechanic and he said" there was nothing he could do. And sometimes when I turn my vehicle on the engine revels up and sounds as if the acceleration is stuck. Scares me to death.
