My air bar light was flashing so I took it into the dealer as it is still under warranty. They said it is a sensor in the seat that deploys the air bag. It has been since November with no eta on the part. When I asked about getting my car back after several times they tried to get me to sign a wavier saying if I was in an accident they wouldn't be liable. I refused and my car is still at this dealership.

The contact stated that when her father was driving at various speeds and noticed an abnormal smell coming from in the vehicle which her father was unsure of the smell. The vehicle at this time was at the contact resident when she opened the front door to the passenger side and noticed that the passenger seat was burned without warning. The contact asked her father while he was driving did, he notice any flames from the passenger seat. The contact father stated that he was unaware of the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (green Hyundai 1200 s dirksen pkwy, springfield, IL 62703 (217) 525-1370) where a diagnoses test was performed but were unable to determine the cause of the failure and stated that the seat cover was cut by an object. The vehicle was then taken to a independent mechanic who inspects the seat and confirmed that it was burned by a faulty seat warmer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was aproximent 23,845. Ck.
The driver's seat appears to be set too low at the back of the seat. The sides of wings of the bucket seat are too high near the rear of the seat. Due to the poor design it causes the driver to position themselves away from the left side wing either forward or forward and towards the center console. I worry that due to the poor seat design sitting properly positioned within the seat is not possible because you can not sit comfortably. It appears online that many complain about the driver's seat. During an accident I believe greater personal bodily injury could occur to a driver because of the poor seat design and not being properly seated in the seat. I have ridden in the passenger's seat and it does not appear to have the same issue. It might be the outer plastic shroud on the left side of the driver's seat that causes the improper seating within the vehicle. I worry for my safety, my family's safety and other driver's safety because of the poor seat design.
