The contact stated that while accelerating, the front driver seat would shift backward and while shifted into reverse the seat would move forward. the vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat rail was damaged and the seat rail and seat needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.
