I also am having many issues with my SUV. As others have states the driver side sun visor broke off while driving. I had to cut the wire to get it to stop dangling. I now have no driver side sun visor. I also have a check engine light on due to my fuel sensors. My gas gauge fluctuates. I have to go based off mileage when to get gas. I think it is ridiculous that none of this is covered under a warranty and there has been no recall on anything that has affected many or people.

Both driver and passenger sun visors will not stay up. A front impact would inevitably result in an open head/eye [acceleration] injury to the driver and front passenger. . Read more...
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph the sun visor on the drivers’ side broke and was obstructing his view of the roadway. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000.
The sunvisor on the driver's side broke; on the post where the visor attaches to the roof of the car. Once broken it could not be secured out of harm's way. This caused the visor to hang straight down blocking the driver's view of the road and creating a vision hazard. Secondly, the visor then was free swinging, so that it could strike the driver in an accident or just in normal driving. I have the visor and pictures documenting the break site.
In rainy humid conditions, the air conditioning compressor will shut down causing warm air to blow inside the car cabin. This immediately causes the windows to fog up causing a very dangerous driving condition. This has now happened 5 times since owning the car. If you turn the car off, let it rest for a few minutes, then turn back on the air compressor will work again but only for the short time. We have taken the car to the dealership and they cannot duplicate the problem. Again it only happens when it's humid and raining outside. After numerous searches on the internet, it seems that I am not the only person this is happening to. Hyundai has a serious problem and they should do a recall to fix this!.

Driver side sun visor came down while driving very dangerous. If you contact company they will be glad to sell you another one that will break. Just a matter of time this part is going to break and cause an accident. By looking at the other complaints I am not the only one. Passenger side has broke to.
Sun visor broken.
Driver side sun visor fell down while I was driving down the road. I had to pull over to the side of the road and remove visor so I could safely drive home.
Passenger side sun visor fell out of "socket" and is hanging by wires. This item is rarely used. Fell as I was moving through a parking lot. Pushed back into "socket" where it stays for a few min, then falls again. My car is rarely driven, has only 16k miles on it, bought brand new. By what I have read online, it seems a costly repair, if it is even deemed fixable. Major hazard. Not to mention it being an obvious manufacturer defect. I have not contacted Hyundai as today is Sunday and they are closed. I fail to see how this issue has not made it to a re-call level yet. . . Online, numerous 2007 Santa Fe complaints with this very issue! I fail to see how this should be a repair coming out of my pocket! very disappointed!.
While driving on the interstate highway a heavy rainstorm began. It was very humid and the temperature was moderate. Within a few moments the defrost became overwhelmed and our visiblity decreased to a dangerous level. We had to drive with the windows open in order to get enough air moving to remove the condensation from the front window. This has happened on two other occassions since. The dealership tells us nothing is wrong with the vehicle.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driver's side sun visor breaks and hangs down from roof and blocks the driver's vision. 1) I rarely use the sun visor; however, one morning I came out and the visor was hanging from the roof by wires (these power the vanity mirror light). The visor blocked my vision. 2) I pushed the visor back up into the roof bracket. It imemdiately fell down again. I really applied pressure and pushed it back up in the bracket. Five minutes later it fell down again blocking my vision. I then removed the holding bracket from the roof, inserted the visor post inside it again, and reattached the bracket. The visor fell again. 3) I have to order a brand new sun visor to replace what is/was a perfectly good, electrically light fundctioning, working sun visor. The Hyundai service manager tells me he sees a lot of these visors that fall, but they can't be repaired as supposedly a spring has broken up inside the mechanism.
Both sun visors have broken on my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. They have not been abused in any way. They cost $113 each to replace. Many other Hyundai owners have complained of this defect. Please issue a recall. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated the visor on the vehicle broke from the arm and fell down. The contact spoke to the manufacturer and was told that the visor was not considered a safety issue. The failure and current mileage was 70,000.
Driving 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe on highway suddenly the sun visor drops into my face from its corner attachment, dangling by only electrical wire. Grabbed sun visor and lifted up, preventing potential accident with other vehicles. Hyundai service dealership refused free replacement due to being out of warranty. Gave estimate $150 to replace. There are dozens of same defect online with 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driver side sun visor dropping from exact same location. Because it is very dangerous not to fix we had to pay for the safety of our family onboard. Hyundai still refusing to do recall. Filing complaint with state attorney general office of consumer affairs.
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driver side sun visor fell out at the pivot point, hanging by a wire. Plastic at pivot point is broken. Part must be replaced.
While driving down the highway, I opened my sun visor and everything was fine, then suddenly it dropped down into my line of sight just dangling by some wires! I could have been seriously injured! after trying to push it back up into the hole, to only have it fall down in my face again at any given time, I had to just remove it completely! to add insult to injury, the passenger side visor did the same thing 2 days ago. I just can't believe the cheap parts used on these visors, the knowledge of the safety hazard, and the lack of action taken to fix this! I will never buy a Hyundai again if this is the service I am going to receive.
Driving 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe on busy freeway with husband as passenger. Suddenly the driver side sun visor drops into my face from its corner attachment, dangling by only electrical wire. Husband grabbed sun visor and lifted up, preventing potential serious accident with surrounding vehicles. Talked to Hyundai service dealership; they refused free replacement due to being out of warranty. Gave estimate $185 plus to replace. Online complaint websites detail dozens of same defect with 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driver side sun visor dropping from exact same location, and dealers admitting factory use of cheap plastic assembly as cause. We contacted Hyundai corporate in fountain valley, CA. They refused to initiate defective driver side sun visor recall. Said they needed more complaints to justify recall. Told them it's been 4 years, and there are already dozens of complaints. Advised them it's very dangerous not to do recall. Serious liability issues. Hyundai corporate efused to consider recall as of 02/15/11. Currently propping up sun visor until recall is initiated. Filing complaint with state attorney general office of consumer affairs.
The driver's side sun-visor broke at the plastic hinge where it goes into the ceiling of the vehicle causing the sun visor to drop down and obscure my view of the road. This created a dangerous situation in which I could not see the road while driving. Even in the closed and stowed position, the sun visor periodically drops down obscuring my driving view. This is quite dangerous in that I cannot see the road for a few seconds and am distracted while re-stowing the visor.
Passenger side sun visor failed and dropped down. A few months later the drivers side sun visor failed and dropped down, while driving. This has happened several times, once during heavy traffic.

Driver side sun visor is defective. Within a few months of purchase the sun visor would not stay up in the unused position. For several years I held it in place with velcro. It was difficult to swing it over to cover the side window. Recently the entire plastic connector broke and the sun visor dangled from the electrical connection in front of the driver. This occurred while we were driving on the freeway. We used velcro and duct tape in an attempt to keep the sun visor from dangling. It was not usable. We have now disconnected the sun visor from the electrical source and removed it completely. It was a serious safety issue dangling in front of the drive. It is still a safety issue because I do not a means to block the sun from the driver. I noticed on the internet that a number of other owners have complained about this same Hyundai defect.
While driving on the highway, the driver's side sun visor fell, and blocked the vision of driver. Along with blocking the drivers vision, the driver was startled causing the driver to swerve. This almost caused a crash. The driver had to hold the sun visor until reaching home (~15 minutes). Upon reaching home, the owner examined the visor. The visor has a very small and fragile plastic component holding the visor in place. It appears that the visor is destined to break. The component that broke is on the arm that swings the visor down and to the left, and is embedded in the interior ceiling I. E. , not accessible to anyone without taking the visor apart with screw drivers. There was 64,250 miles on the vehicle at time of the incident. There was a passenger at time of incident, who can testify to the facts.
The front windows fogged completely during an rain storm of high intensity, the airconditioning system was on and working untill the high humidity and rain overtook the system this situation happened at night on busy freeway making this a very dangerous situation as the side windows also started to fog ,this has happened several times each time the a/c compressor seems to quit working. . . . Also pulling the vehicle over and shutting it down for 5 to 10 minutes seems to clear it up. . . The common factors were high humidity, temperature drop ,rain. . . . . The first time temp was 65degf second 55degf third 64degf. . .
