1 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/05/2020

About 2+ months ago, I had my car serviced for brakes, oil change, and filters. Within a day or two I noticed a crack on my dashboard near the airbag passenger unit. Thinking it was florida heat related, I paid it no attention. During this covid pandemic I now see that the other side of the passenger airbag notation on the dashboard is cracked as well, and the last time my husband and I ran an errand, the airbag warning light went on. Now I'm afraid to use the car to any extent except around town for short errands and was wondering what I should do. The recall number 174 shows no open recalls on this issue. . . However. . . . All receipts I have since I've owned this vehicle do not show it having been repaired. I see that the initial report of the recall (not remedy) was incorporated into the seat belt issue, however, the remedy notice is the one I have no record of having been repaired. The dealer has recommended other work be done on the vehicle each time I've brought it in for a recall item (??)!.

2 Warning Light On problem

The srs airbag warning light has come on and stays on. I don't know if it's a warning on airbag deployment, seat belt function, both sides of the car or one. The Hyundai dealership I bought the car from cannot fit me in to inspect for a couple months and I don't want to drive the car if it's dangerous.

A trip to the dealer (edwards Hyundai in council bluffs, IA in July, 2018) resulting in them wanting to charge a $170 diagnostic fee despite the current recall on airbags for my vehicle. 8 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 12/02/2017

Air bag warning light on dash while driving down street, although approximately 2 weeks prior I had to stop hard suddenly for a car in front of me that decided to just stop. I had already taken my car into the dealership for the seat belt recall and have since received another notification for a seat belt recall. Air bag light was turned off when purchasing used car from Hyundai dealership in 2016. Called dealership and told no recall on air bags, and they don't know if it has takata air bags in it. I need to pay $69 to have it diagnosed.

9 Warning Light On problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

I had been driving and everything was ok. I got home and had no dashboard lights on. I started the car up 10 minutes later and my airbag warning light was on. I took it to the dealer and they wanted like 70 dollars to diagnose and then more money for labor. This is a safety defect. I couldn't afford it. Honda diagnoses and covers stuff like that 100%. They say Hyundai has the best warranty but so far no problems I've had has been covered. A mechanic and neighbor of mine says they've seen many Hyundai airbag lights and are surprised there's not a recall.
