Car in dealership for second time due to engine failure while driving (second time in shop for engine recall). My concerns are the safety of this vehicle with my family, my home and my community. These cars are catching on fire throughout our country and there is no price on a life.
Hyundai Sonata engine failure. I was driving and my car stalled in the middle of the road. I put it in park and put my hazards on. I proceeded to start the car and when I did, the car caught on fire. Smelled like wires on fire. Hyundai was notified and my car was towed and fixed at the dealership. It took about 6 weeks to fix. To my disappoinment, Hyundai is only offering 12k miles or one year warranty. This car has had several recalls and I have brought it to the dealer for every one of them. I spent 30k on this car (Hyundai Sonata 2. 0t) love the look of it but not reliable. I have sent them a letter to ask for a better warranty on the "new" engine they replaced.
