general problems of the 2014 Hyundai Sonata - part 2

Engine started sputtering lost power, engine seize while in motion on city street while making a turn.

Once my Sonata hybrid reached 105000 miles it has reflected the exact issues of the other 2. 4l engines. Loud knocking, lack of acceleration above a certain rpm and unable to go above 60 mph. The car is currently sitting in the drive way since it sounds like a rod is about to rip through it. The oil light comes on but only when turning. We have been denied since this VIN is not included in current recalls. All recommended maintenance has been done since we bought it brand new.

When accelerating past 3500 rpms there is a clanging sound coming from the engine and you can't accelerate anymore. There has been at times a large plume of white thick smoke coming from the tail pipe when trying to accelerate.

Car is advertised to get 25mpg city and 35mpg highway with a combined rating of 27mpg. I am driving 50-55 miles per day on the highway and 10 miles in the city. I drive this vehicle the similar to my previous car. I am using low rpm acceleration and maintaining a consistent speed on the highway. My cars mpg is averaging 27. 5mpg for at least 3500 miles.
