My Hyundai Sonata 2005 is very unsafe! the whole frame of the car is rotted out. I was driving on the expressway with my children in the car and my tire blew! a nice man drive off from the other side of highway came around to put a spare on. I took the car got a new tire and alignment. Then a few months later my whole sterling wheel is turned to left and car is pulling horribly to right and my right tire is bent in. I took it in to get checked ASAP. They looked at it and to my utter belief my car is rotted out! unsafe ! I feel this is a real issue for Hyundai! there are many drivers out there with the same issue and Hyundai is doing nothing to help! you made these vehicles. Now please help us drive safely with our families! so we can go to our jobs and continue raising our families. Please do something soon. I start a new job August 27 2019. I will need a safe car I am a dependable, reliable , nanny. So you see I depend I my safe vehicle for all my little loves I'm my car on a daily basis. Stand by your Hyundai name and do something good. Help us please. Thank you. Remember it was your manufacturing that caused this to happen! so please help. ( not sure exactly how long those holes and rotted out frame were lingering) until all this went wrong with tires. . .

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. While driving at 35 mph, the contact's front right tire blew out. The vehicle hopped a curb and lost steering. At that point the vehicle could not get back on to the street. The contact attempted to slow the vehicle down. The vehicle crashed into a light post. The windshield caved into the vehicle. The engine came through the control panel. The contact's wife touched the side of their door and the side curtain air bags deployed. The frontal air bags did deploy. The contact and their wife sustained injuries. The contact sustained a concussion, torn ligaments, cracked sturnam, cracked ribs and a broken or cracked left ankle. The contact's wife sustained broken right ribs, concussion, cracked sturnam, broken right thumb and memory lose, popped bursa sack . They did receive medical attention. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash. A police report was made. The vehicle was totaled. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact filed a complaint with them. The failure mileage was the crash was not in reference to any crash 95,000. Jw.

Tl the contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. While operating the vehicle, the contact heard a knocking noise coming from the engine compartment. The contact took the vehicle to two independent mechanics and both diagnosed that a new engine was needed. The mechanics stated that the engine oil needed to be changed every month and the oil was leaking into the engine. The oil level was very low and needed to be replaced constantly. The contact was informed to repeat the process until a new engine was installed. The contact also stated that the vehicle kept pulling to the left and alignments had to be performed much sooner than normal. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 130,000.

Tl the contact owns a 2004 Hyundai Sonata. The contact noticed that the subframe was rusted, which caused the front driver and passenger tires to detach. The vehicle was taken to reliable Hyundai (438 s ingram mill rd, springfield, mo 65802) where they informed the contact the vehicle was too old and unable to be repaired. The front tires were replaced; however, the subframe remained rusted. The tires needed to be replaced four times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 09v124000 (suspension). The approximate failure mileage was 207,000.

Recently I had a situation where I was driving on county road way and my car suddenly collapsed and came to an immediate stop. To say the least, I was a little shook up. I got out the car and noticed that the driver side wheel had lodged against the wheel well. The car would go into gear but it was making a knocking noise so I turned it off. A driver of a green sedan car was behind me and I was trying to wave her around me but she stopped and assisted me into getting my car off the street by pushing my car while it was in neutral. I am only telling you this because there was nothing wrong with my car before this incident. I was told by Hyundai thompson that my car would not start after it was towed there. I went there the next day and the car did start but it would not go into gear which was a surprise to me. I was told that they may have to check the transmission and talk to you to see if that damage would be cover under the recall for replacing the engine cradle. After Hyundai thompson repaired my car I had to take it back for a roaring noise caused by the wheel bearing in the wheel that jammed against the wheel well when the axle snapped off the subframe. They also could not preform a wheel alignment. I also took it for a safety inspection and it failed due to some items I feel are related to the repair of replacing the subframe like the wheel bearing, the front end alignment, both front upper control arms and the outer tie rods missing cotter keys. I want to know my rights concerning this recall and I also want my car in the driving condition before this incident occurred. Case # 15551136 with Hyundai.

Hyundai dealership replaced engine and starter in my 2011 Sonata in November 2018 got car back radio bluetooth usb electrical and ac didn't work and it cut off on me numerous times as well as tire exploded on me that they �forgot to tell me about� and have had more problems car does not run and I can't get any answers or solutions! I spent $500 on new fuel injector still won't run! dealership in montgomery, al replaced engine and did sloppy work and didn't value my safety at all! do I have to have it towed back to the same dealership? do I have to pay for towing for a 3rd time that is clearly on them! mechanic told me electrical was hooked up properly and/or wiring burnt when engine seized! also I've had to buy 3 tires when mine were fairly new because the speed wheel sensor is puncturing them, I've seen a lot of people have had same problems is their a recall on the speed wheel sensor? I've been without away to go since November & have spent more money than I have trying to get it to run & paying for a car that don't run! im on disability & don't have money to continue putting in this car that should run as it did prior to engine seizing! im no mechanic but I don't know how they put engine & starter in 3 days or how they released my car without anyone in service in to go over paperwork or tell me about the tire stated on paperwork �needs immediate attention tire separated � they said they forgot, tire exploded on me so they definitely didn't care about my safety!! paperwork also stated was test drove, �if it was� again I don't know how they released it! 2nd time at dealership they were suppose to check & see why my radio, bluetooth, usb, ac electrical didn't work & did prior to engine seizing! when I picked it up they had no answers or solutions why! back at dealer wants $8,000 for problems I never had til they worked on it and for pending recalls with no remedy.

I was driving down my street when the drivers cv axle popped out of the transmission. I got the vehicle towed home and removed the wheel to find that the subframe was corroded completely into. I know there are recalls pertaining to this exact issue on this type of car.

This is independent of campaign 10v426000 which involved "potential loss of steering ability". In 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, there have been numerous complaints involving the 2011 Hyundai Sonata in which the steering wheel shakes aggressively at speeds of 60+. In addition, there is a loud clicking sound that you can hear and feel when turning the corner or driving at speeds of 35+. While sitting idle, if the steering wheel is even slightly moved from left to right, you can hear and feel a knocking/clicking sound. When driving at speeds of 20+, any imperfection in the road or highway causes this "unsteadiness" in the steering wheel and the continued knocking noise. In all cases, it almost feels as if the steering wheel or the tires are going to detach from the car while driving. The car feels unsafe to drive in normal weather conditions and could be life threatening at high speeds or in adverse weather conditions. Given the vast number of complaints, I'm concerned that NHTSA has not taken action. Please find below the online complaints regarding this matter. This problem is likely impacting hundreds of thousands as not everyone will take the time to write a complaint. Given the past issues with a "steering issue' for the Hyundai Sonata 2011, your immediate attention in expeditiously identifying a possible life threatening problem would be greatly appreciated. I brought this vehicle from sheehy of waldorf and this vehicle has been problems I have been stop by police in baltimore city taillights keep blowing and front engine problems front end problem my insurance company said this vechicle been declared unsafe to drive I brought this report and they deleted information of the carfax and me state inspection mileage is different and my title and contact has the same mileage and the service paper os lies gm told ke no new tire was not put on the car but service paper that they states new tires on the carfax they state only thing they done on inspection was a left tire end the wiring is cut on both sides on back lights and were the fuses its alot of electric tape they scammed me and did fraudulently activity to me with this car I was told this title been wash it not safe to drive on the road engine problem front end problem tires worm I didn't put four thousand miles really.

The factory hankook ventus s1 noble 2 235-45-18r are cracking and separating. Looks like there was a recalled issued on a few different sizes for the same thing. I have a brand new car it's a left over 2015 the Sonata came with hankook tires 235/r45/18 there is a recall on the same tire but 275/r45/18 venus noble 2 brand. I'm having the same issue I had a front blow out and now 2 more tires have bubles and a small crack in tires this car has ne er hit anything and is brand new hankook does not want to help so I am asking to add this to the same recall as the other ones that are I have the same tires but no help from hankook tire.

Security alarm does not work. Steering column jerks when hitting a bump on street or highway.

3/7/18 left vehicle for testing and repair at cardinale automotive group in corona, CA. 3/8/18 picked up car in good working condition for $800. Arrived home to learn of recall for my exact repair. It appears I am over mileage for recall, however, I request to be included when recall is extended. This was/is your problem!.

There have been various problems that were discovered recently mostly based on the rear suspension and shocks. The brake lights have gone out many times and the alignment is frequently incorrect, and so the tires go through a lot of wear. The most recent tires were placed 9 months ago and already have terrible wear from both the suspension and the alignment. Whenever the car is in motion, the car does not drive as smoothly as it should and bounces lightly. There is loud noise whenever driving over speed bumps as if the tire pressure is poor. There is also a grinding noise when the car turns somewhat sharply. Many of these problems have existed for a while but were only diagnosed today at a midas auto in wilmington, nc.

The car was token the dealer, where it was bought, since they had told us they had some repairing to do but the car stayed the same. The engine makes a very unpleasant noise, every time. With the steering wheel, while turning left, it semi gets stuck. In order for that to not happen, you basically have turn it right away. It is at very high risk due to the fact that if it would manage to get stuck, it may cause an unnecessary accident. When it comes to the wheels, every time it turns left or right it makes a very rocky noise. We have called time and time for a reparation or to at least have something done. No one has seemed to really care nor catch their attention.

Worn rear tires prompted purchase of new tires. Tire technicians noted that the frame was cracked and that the vehice is unsafe to drive. Both rear tires are in jeopardy but the rear passenger side is by far the worse. Vehicle had been making odd noises especially when turning and some vibration at spweds over 40mph. Fortunately the the tires didn't fall off while in motion.

When I'm driving whell kind of come off when I turn it's click at the whell. . Some reason airbag light on. . Every month I change my head lights or brake light it's turn off always I don't know why but I think it's electrical problem.

There is a play in steering intermediary shaft. Wheels makes noise while turning.

Takata recall subframe is rotted. Mechanic advised not to drive it as it is very unsafe. Car has less than 60,000 miles on it.

Financed our '13 Sonata in oct 2013 w/ 9,033 miles on it. Have since put 3rd set of tires and now at 46,345 miles. Brought to planet Hyundai in lv & bronco motors in id for diagnostic as to while tires wearing so fast. No solution other then to buy new tires. Have been back and forth between tire company and Hyundai. Even reached out to Hyundai America. No alignment issues, was told no suspension issues. Tires feathering, cupping. Becoming safety concern and could be a huge dent in my wallet replacing tires every 10-14k miles.

Found out today from a non-dealer mechanic that I need a wheel bearing on the front-right of my 2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS. Mileage 56k. Vehicle is garage kept, and when I'm at work it's in a covered parking garage. Symptom: excessive road noise, even after tire rotation. Seems to be a little premature for a wheel bearing to go out, and of course it won't be covered under Hyundai's 5/60 warranty. Was told that other failures could occur if part is not replaced.

I brought this left over in las vegas brand new this 2015 hynduia Sonata sport limited came with the 235/r45/18 hankook tires I had a front tire blow out due to a defective tire 3 tires have little cuts and a buble on 2 tires and the car is new. I see you had a recall on the 245/r45/18 same tire just mine are 235 not 245 venus noble 2 tire same tire same make. Hankook will not help and I would like your help with investagating these tires I had a front blow out and can cause a serious accident or serious injury or more if not recalled . I was driving at 35mph when I had the front passenger side blow out.

2 weeks ago, I found in my front passenger side tire a bauble and I took the tire to the discount tire to be checked. The tire specialist discovered other problems on both front tires. The tires are severely cupped the inside edge. He recommends me to check with the service dealership as soon as possible, he never ever experienced that type of problem in the past. We have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, bought new, and now with very low mileage. . . Less than 13,000 miles as of February, 2017. Original tires are kumho p205/65r16. The left front tire consistently loses air pressure when garaged. Took only a few days to go from 33 psi to 24. This tire has to be re-inflated at least each week. Car was taken to the local Hyundai dealership, tires were inspected, and reported as having no problems. Car was taken back to this dealership few days ago. Service advisor was sympathetic but offered no help. Smiled, then walked away. Will now be taking the car to a tire outlet, at our expense, for yet another tire inspection. We feel that these kumho tires may be unsafe. We may end up replacing them with a more superior brand tire and / or selling the car.

The steering wheel feels loose and when I try to turn the car acts as if your on ice or like I'm loosing control of steering the vehicle, I was advised by discount tire that the from suspension issue are causing my inner tires to wear and the dealership was only trying to sale me tires for $600 and did not mention any issues with the inner tire on that the tread was a little low. I have been driving on the highway and surface streets when the steering problems occur.

I got my car with 15 miles on it, before I even had 10 thoursand miles the car had a transmission heat up. Took it to the dealer they run a test nothing was found. A week later same thing happen, now the car is at 31 thoursand miles im so scared driving the car stalling like a manual car everytime I accelerate. The car keep on vibrating hard at 40-up mph.

While driving on the long island expressway in queens NY, an extremely busy highway, the control alarm on my front right tire completely snapped off. This caused me to lose control of my car and go across 3 lanes on a major highway with cars traveling 70 mph past me. Luckily no cars were hit and luckily myself or nobody was killed. Whats more disturbing instead of the dealership doing it's job to make sure my car is completely functional, they let me leave the lot with an issue they clearly knew about and just didn't say anything to me. After all they provided a complimentary wheel alignment so they clearly were examining my wheels at the time. And up to this point the car had been driving fine, smooth, no issues. I just had an oil change about a month back and nothing was noted to me by the mechanic then. I spoke with the dealership a few months back and they told me there had been a recall on the rear control alarms, which I know are about the same parts as the front control alarms. My car wheel just snapped off and I almost died on a highway as a result of this car. And I have been reading consumer complaints that similar issues have happened and there were possible recalls on the front control alarms to the wheels. This incident occurred on 10/1/16. It has been 10 days and Hyundai corporate has not contacted me. They are trying to avoid being responsible for a clear safety and road hazard with my vehicle. In addition my engine ceased on fathers day 2014 and they repaired the engine. Then in April 2016 I had metal fragments in my engine and they performed a complimentary wheel alignment. 3 months later my control arm is snapping of my front passenger tire.

The dealer diagnosed that the psi warning indicator illuminated due to changes in the weather. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was invalid. The steering column is rattling and shaking when braking and or reaching a speed of 60. It is causing the balancing of tires worn, and the air bag light has come on and tire pressure light.
