This vehicle was in a hit-and-run accident on the highway. It hit the wall going 65mph and the airbags did not deploy causing me to have a spinal injury, bruised ribs, a cracked sternum, a concussion, and a fractured metatarsal. After the first collision, the car rolled back and hit the wall a second time which the airbags still did not deploy. It is totaled and in the hands of state farm.

Just took 03 Tiburon to Hyundai for recall said frame is rotting away never seen frame rot like this is there any recalls for frame rust or is there any thing I can do, Hyundai said unfixable.
I'm from arkansas city kansas. I was driving in wichita KS on my way back home. I was driving about 55mph. When I engaged my clutched to go into the next gear nothing happened. The transmission seemed to go into gear but the car wouldnt move. I slowed down and stopped on the side of the road. I put it into first gear and tried to drive. The car moved nowhere. I wasnt sure what happened so I towed it back home. I looked online everywhere to find nothing that related to my problem. My car still wont move and I have no idea what is wrong with it.

After stopping behind a line of stopped cars, I slowly removed my foot from brake pedal (have automatic transmission) and looked into my review mirror as car in front of me began moving. Suddenly I heard my engine race and immediately slammed into vehicle in front of me before I could react. My car looks like I hit something going at least 35 mph. The vehicle in front of me was only 6 - 8 feet in front of me when I had started to remove my foot off my brake pedal. All happened so quickly - was as if my car just "leaped" forward. State police and tow operator both started up my vehicle and noted that engine racing while throttle pedal was in normal position. I did not receive a driving violation ticket because of noted throttle issue. Toyota unintended acceleration issue now with Tiburons?.
Gears became hard to shift then impossible to shift replaced wit new clutch and had to replace again at 97000.
My 2008 Hyundai Tiburon has been involved in 3 accidents (none my fault). The impact was of enough significance that the air bags should have deployed. The first collision involved a deer that was being chased by another vehicle, and it hit my car so hard, the deer exploded and the air bags did not deploy. I was told the crash was equivalent to 80 mph head on. Also, since I have owned this vehicle it continually revvs itself and no one can figure out the problem. It does it all the time and is very dangerous as I cannot stop while its revving like this. I have to throw it in neutral, hit the gas, then it will stop revving. This is especially dangerous (and very annoying) in rush hour traffic. The electronic stability control will randomly shut itself off and quite frequently. I did not buy this as a used car.
While driving on freeway clutch failed was able to reengage by pushing engine to 6,000 rpm.
2006 Tiburon 3 clutches in 3 months time due to slipping of clutch.
I have had to replace my clutch, dual fly wheel entire clutch system 3 times now in the last 3 1/2 years. Each time costing me anywhere from $2400,- $3,400. No way should a clutch need replaced that much that soon, each clutch lasted approx 13 months. Hyundai wants nothing to do with the problem yet thousands of people are having same issues. Something needs to be looked at. Who can afford this much work every year? no one. I have spent close to $10,000 on 3 clutch jobs in 3 years. I'm taking it to bbb as well.

2005 Hyundai Tiburon se v6 std. - clutch replaced under warranty at 42k and again at 53k - 7 mos later clutch failed again. Hyundai states "we've covered 2 times, not covering again". Obviously this is an ongoing problem w/this vehicle - I've owned standards all my life, Mazda 189k on original clutch and datsun 110k on original clutch - have never had to replace a clutch. There are several online complaints regarding 2005 clutch failings not covered. . Read more...
I have an 05 Tiburon that was puchased in October of 05. The clutch will not stop racing when shifting gears. We took it in and they said that the flywheel, baring, and disc, are damaged and are not covered under warranty. The warranty only covers up to 12,000 miles and we have 16,900 miles on the car. My daughter uses it to drive to school (about 4 miles) and to work (about 4 miles). This is ridiculous knowing she doesn't race the car or even knows how to pop a clutch. The paint is coming off the gas cover; the seat belt latch sticks; the door handle scewplate insert comes off and the top of the shifter knob still comes off after having it fixed once before. We had to get the transmission repaired when we first got the vehicle because it would not go into reverse. This is all the problems we have so far. Sincerely, jerry orebaugh.
