Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Hyundai Tiburon

First incident: blower motor for heat quit working. Found connector (climate control side) had melted replaced with used climate control. November 2010. Blower motor had quit working again found same connector as well as body harness side connector had melted. Replaced with used harness and climate control. November 2010 to December 2014 vehicle headlights would intermittently stay on when lights were shut off. January 26 2015 while driving dash lights, radio, tail lights, windows, turn signals. Intermittently turning off and on. Found climate control harness side melted again, also body control module and power wire to have melted. After searching these electrical components melting appears to be a common problem with the vehicle. Although my personal vehicle has high mileage and is older the problem seems to stretch back to when the vehicles were new, earliest occasion I found was 2005.

My daughter has a 2006 Tiburon and has been having trouble with the wheel bearings going out of it. It was in the shop to get the front left wheel bearing fixed about 2 months ago. The month after that she started hearing the same noise coming from the back of the car the passenger side . Well I was in front of her in my car when the passenger side wheel just broke off of the car and made her crash into a guard rail head on she was hurt and is having back problems from the impact 2 of the airbags deployed. This car is a hazard to have on the road . The sunroof also fell apart and the radio does not work half the time. I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone.

2004 Tiburon had a problem with the air condition, speakers rattle, cigarette lighter and problems when switching to first and reverse gears. The sun roof didn't close properly. The air bag light illuminated due to a loose connection under the seat. One of the taillights were out.

The kenwood cd player is defective. Got another replacement one from dealership and it is also defective.

The radio in my 2000 tib has only 2 lighted buttons & is very dangerous because you cannot see to shut it off or change channels or anything had heard that there was a recall about this but can't find it.

I have had problems with my Tiburon since I got the car most of the things have been covered by warranty. November 17 2001 the car had 2486 miles on it the alarm started going off while I was driving down the highway. I got it turned off about 20 minutes later and for the next two days the alarm kept going off for no reason. Nov 20 I couldn?t get it to turn off at all so I took it to the dealership. The said a wire shorted out and fixed it at no cost to me. In December of 2002 the drivers side door started sticking and one day I came out of work and it wouldn?t open at all I took it in to the dealer they said the door was falling off and that they replaced a latch at no cost to me. The car was at 17642 miles at this time. The day before my appt for the door I was driving and all the sudden the radio just went off and wouldn?t come on. They had to replace the radio also at no cost to me. January of 03 was when the big problem started with the engine the car wouldn?t start I had it towed to Hyundai they said there was carbon build up on the engine. They cleaned it and gave it back they didn?t find the cause and didn?t explain anything else to me. But at that time the car only had 18704 miles on it. Since then the car has had problems starting I?ve taken it back to the dealer a few times the car died on the road and the check engine light came on I had it towed in they said it was just the spark plugs battery was fine and that the car was due for a tune up which cost me $282. 12 the car was at 27666 miles they also replaced the oxygen sensor that day {11/9/03} at no cost to me. I got the car back {28909 miles}. It still won?t run right and had a hard time starting. I took the car back on 10/21/03. They said that the battery had a bad cell. I didn?t want to pay them for anything but the tech there said if I didn?t they couldn?t look at the car anymore until they ruled out the battery being the problem so I spent $58. 37 on a battery.

Radio not working at all 3x have had replaced beginning 1 month after purchase and last date was Dec 2002/drivers side power window sticking/passenger side wiper not working/leather interior peeling/fuse box hanging from dash/wipers making dinging sound everytime the cross window/squishing sound inside of steering colum/dome light not working/ I believe there is a electrical problem in the car but dealer just keeps replacing radio and fixing what ever else is wrong at that time,car has been in shop 6 times since I purchased it new!! this causes me 2 days each time with out a car,one to check it and one to bring back to have it repaired. I have notified manufacture and they supposedly will have a factory rep check the car and joe holland chev is suppose to notify me when they are in town but I have not heard a thing.

Had cd player replaced, computer failure after that where the check engine light comes on, they replaced it - the the battery died for no reason, they replaced that, now my car is shifting out of control and surges when at stop light with my foot on the brake pedal, while driving 60m mph the car shifts into the same gear continuously and jolts then slows - they cant see a problem and say they cant help me, when they test drive it it's fine - the second I take it home from the dealership it starts up - it is dangerous to drive but since they cant find the problem from a test drive and computer test they dont know what to do except send me home with a dangerous car.
