The electronic stability control (esp) light goes on saying the system is off. I've had it back to the dealer 4 times now. Guess I'm lucky it's not activating when not needed, but after reading the recall info, I'm nervous.
: the contact stated while applying pressure to the brakes on a right turn the right front brake surges, causing the electrical stability control system to shut down. The dealership replaced the sensor in the steering wheel twice, but this did not remedy the problem. The vehicle is at the dealership for further repairs.
Dt: there is a recall on this vehicle by huyndai however due to the VIN number this car is not included. The problem is there is an esp (stability control) which activates one of the wheels and causes the vehicle to swerve in the direction of the braking. In this case, the vehicle locked up and the consumer nearly lost control while driving about 40 mph and the right front wheel and brake locked up. In this incident, these occurred about 3 times.
Recall campaign : 05v119000. The consumer received a recall letter from the manufacturer regarding the esp activatation.
