The contact was able to take the vehicle to a local mechanic as the vehicle began making an abnormal noise. Upon coasting the vehicle to the mechanic, the engine completely failed and was unable to be restarted. The contact was informed by the mechanic that the vehicle had experienced complete engine failure. The vehicle was then towed to Hyundai of north charleston 8485 rivers Ave, north charleston, SC 29406 where they discovered metal fragment in the oil pan which they then linked to the engine failure. The contact was notified through the dealer that the manufacturer would cover 65% of the engine replacement; the contact declined the offer. The vehicle had not been repaired.
