2016 Hyundai Tucson eco: vehicle was stationary and I noticed the air bag indicator is illuminated. I removed keys from ignition and re-started with same results. Not sure if it's a module or a defective restraint system.
Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. The vehicle was originally purchased used at off lease Hyundai located 7948 narcoossee rd orlando FL 32822. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds the air bag light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer westside Hyundai located at 1672 cassat Ave jacksonville FL 32210 were diagnosed that the air bag module needed to be replaced, the vehicle was repaired however there was a error message regarding the side curtain air bags. After further diagnoses it was found that the air bag were for a 2015 Hyundai and were not communicating with the vehicle. The contact was informed that the repairs would not be covered due to not being original parts. The vehicle was no repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000. Ap.
