The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly lose motive power and would not immediately accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the vehicle would not exceed 60 mph while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who indicated that no failure was found. The contact was informed that the vehicle operated as designed. The contact also stated that while operating the vehicle, the brake lights remained illuminated at all times. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced a sensor and the failure was remedied. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 68,000.

2 Brake Light problem

Failure Date: 12/03/2019

This is the 5th time. Rear brake light blew out on driver side this time. Set another appointment for 12-06-2019.

3 Brake Light problem

Failure Date: 08/12/2019

The rear brake light socket burned. In addition, the brake light was installed improperly making it extremely difficult to remove.

4 Brake Light problem

Failure Date: 03/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. When the contact depressed the brake pedal, the exterior brake lights failed to illuminate. The failure occurred intermittently and the brake warning indicator illuminated. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 38,000.
