On numerous occasions this vehicle has failed to accelerate. The vehicle rpms rise but it takes roughly 2-3 seconds to engage. I feel this is very unsafe especially when making a left turn in traffic. I have take it to the dealer more than once with no help. The 2016 model was recalled for exactly what I have experienced and I believe the 2017 model should be as well.

2 Fail To Accelerate problem

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph down a slight incline, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact stated that she had no control of the vehicle but no warning lights were illuminated. 3 Fail To Accelerate problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2018

2017 Hyundai Tucson 4700 miles on it on 5/29/18 on my way home from the hospital at a traffic light put my foot on the gas car failed to accelerate at a normal pace started very slow it happened at least seven more times on that day.

The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. While attempting to turn right from a complete stop, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate for several seconds. The failure later recurred while the contact was turning left. The vehicle was taken to rte 2 Hyundai (743 n main st, leominster, MA 01453), but the dealer was unable to diagnose any failures with the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to go back to the general manager at rte 2 Hyundai. The approximate failure mileage was 5,524.
