Hyundai Tucson owners have reported 715 problems related to electrical system (under the electrical system category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Hyundai Tucson based on all problems reported for the Tucson.
While driving my 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid, the vehicle suddenly lost power, began shaking, and all warning lights illuminated at once. The car would not accelerate properly and became unsafe to operate in traffic. After pulling over and restarting the vehicle, the warnings cleared, but the issue has occurred more than once. It first occurred 3/25/26. The dealer was not able to reproduce the issue but found numerous faults and reset them. This is a serious safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly lose motor power while driving, creating a risk of collision. The problem is intermittent and unpredictable.

The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while his wife was operating the vehicle, the vehicle lost headlight functionality without warning. In addition, the contact stated that the radio intermittently failed to operate while driving the vehicle. The contact stated that the headlight became operable when his wife was near to her destination. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 21v938000 (electrical system, exterior lighting); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,800.
On 7/29/2026, the vehicle experienced a critical safety failure involving the electronic transmission shift-by-wire system, resulting in an unintended rollaway after the ignition was turned off. While parked on an incline, the driver depressed the brake pedal and pressed the engine start/stop button while the vehicle was still positioned in drive (d). The engine shut off completely. According to factory safety design and vehicle specifications, cutting the ignition in this state is engineered to automatically trigger an electronic command to shift the transmission into park (p). However, the vehicle failed to execute this electronic fail-safe. The electronic parking pawl did not engage, and the vehicle effectively defaulted into an un-geared neutral state. Upon the driver releasing the brake pedal, the unanchored vehicle immediately rolled down the incline with the engine completely powered off. No audible warning chimes or dashboard fault lights were activated prior to or during the event to alert the driver that the transmission had failed to secure the vehicle.

On July 24, 2026, while driving on a marked city street with no vehicle, pedestrian, or obstruction ahead, the forward collision-avoidance system on our 2022 Hyundai Tucson limited awd applied emergency braking on its own, three to four separate times, each lasting one to two seconds. Traffic behind us nearly struck our vehicle. My family was in the car. This is the latest event in a progressive electrical fault history. In June 2025, under warranty at 48,037 miles, a Hyundai dealer documented recurring multi-system warning cascades (forward safety, lane keeping, high beam assist, speed limit warning) and a failed auto start/stop system. The dealer's listed resolution was "battery voltage / replace battery"; their invoice records that no repair was performed. We replaced the battery at our own expense. The faults continued. In June 2026, the start/stop system shut the engine off at a red light and the vehicle would not restart, leaving us disabled in a live traffic lane. Power was only restored by cycling the hood release. Since then, tcm and ecu software updates and a battery harness replacement (our expense, approx. $1,200) have been performed. The faults persisted after these repairs and have now escalated to uncommanded emergency braking. Date- and time-stamped video and photographs exist for multiple events. Two Hyundai dealerships have not identified a root cause. Similar phantom braking reports exist from other owners of this model year. We no longer consider the vehicle safe to drive.
Under Hyundai recall 290, the dealership permanently removed the functional trailer light wiring harness and replaced it with a nonfunctional rubber dust cap. A Hyundai case manager informed me that a replacement harness is "in development," but official NHTSA remedy filings show the cap is the final remedy, resulting in the permanent loss of a factory feature I paid for. The removal of towing functionality without a clear timeline for a safe replacement parts remedy constitutes a failure to properly correct the vehicle defect.

I bought my car in for recalls and they performed service. I got down the road when the hud started going out over bumps. They could not duplicate it when I bought it back after picking it up. This was yesterday 7/16/26. They have had this car for a total of 18 days not including other issues that I have bought it in for. Today I am having issues with the instrument cluster and hud going out randomly over bumps still. This is exactly what I explained when dropping it for the repair. This is resulting in me not being able to read the instrument cluster since it displays no signal on cluster or goes completely black.

The rear door locks and trunk lid do not always unlock. This creates a safety concern for rear passengers because they cannot easily exit the car because door won't unlock. The dealership says issue is intermittent yet it's still happening.
Our dashboard went blank and said “no signal” over two weeks ago. (recall 304). We took it in for service. They did a software upgrade which is the stated remedy. Two days ago it did it again. This time we had it towed to the dealership. They have had it since Thursday but no word back on a solution.
All the warning lights in the day lit up. Brake, ldws, aeb, outside air temperature won’t read and the a/c blows hot. $486 to diagnose at dealer and they state that it’s an electrical issue due to a bad vacuum pump. I can’t get an answer as to whether the vacuum pump safety campaign was completed or not. Dealer wants $1500 to replace.

The vehicle developed an intermittent but potentially dangerous engine control malfunction. After the engine reached normal operating temperature, the engine speed (rpm) would repeatedly surge while the vehicle was stopped in park and neutral, fluctuating from approximately 1,000 rpm to over 3,000 rpm without any throttle input from the driver. The condition occurred with the air conditioning turned off and could be reproduced multiple times. At approximately the same time, the auto start/stop system stopped functioning and displayed a warning indicator. A malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) also appeared during the incident. The warning light later turned off, but the engine surging continued. This unexpected increase in engine speed raises concerns about unintended vehicle movement or loss of driver control if the condition were to occur while shifting into gear or while driving. The unpredictable nature of the malfunction presents a potential safety risk to the occupants of the vehicle and to others on the road. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Hyundai dealership for diagnosis and repair and remains under inspection. The problem is available for inspection. During my research, I found numerous reports from other Hyundai owners describing similar engine surging, idle fluctuation, and auto start/stop malfunctions involving comparable vehicles. Because similar complaints appear to have been reported by multiple owners, I am submitting this report so the issue can be evaluated for a possible broader safety defect. I have videos of the incident.
Federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) 111 regulates rear visibility systems. It requires backup cameras to shut off within a specific time or distance after moving forward to prevent driver distraction. A screen stuck on the reverse camera means the vehicle failed to comply with federal safety safety standards in that moment, actively flashing an illegal, high-contrast visual distraction while trying to navigate. I am writing to formally report a critical safety defect regarding the infotainment system in my 2026 Hyundai Tucson, which directly resulted in property damage on 7/6/26. While driving at approximately 35 mph, the center display screen failed to disengage the rear view camera. The persistent, high-visibility flashing of moving traffic behind me in my peripheral vision completely obscured my forward safety alerts and navigation, creating an immediate visual hazard. This system glitch distracted me at a critical moment, causing an impact with a curb. Given that this incident was precipitated by a verified malfunction of a federally regulated safety system (fmvss 111), I requested that Hyundai corporate review this case, investigate the failure of this component, and cover the cost of the $3,337 structural repairs. They have denied my request. I am aware that NHTSA recall 26v400000/Hyundai recall 304 is pending complete entry of all affected vehicles (vehicle was built at the montgomery plant). Hyundai issued technical service bulletin TSB 24-be-001h for 2022–2026 Tucsons. It officially documents that these infotainment systems suffer from "freezing, lagging, unresponsive touchscreens, and intermittent blank screens". The bulletin attributes this to a loose internal coaxial cable and software bugs. I feel strongly that the camera freeze is a direct byproduct of this documented hardware/software defect. Hyundai explicitly stated to the federal government: "an instrument panel display that fails increases the risk of crash".
This problem was observed about 1 month ago: while driving and headlights set on auto, during the day, and the light switch not on, the dashboard would indicate the lights were on, for just a second or two, and would go off. At night with the headlights set on auto and the headlights on, while driving, the headlights go off and on briefly (1-3 seconds) causing a dangerous situation as visibility of road is lost. This condition was initially observed at night, after using the turn signals (left/right), but is now happening with greater frequency while driving without using turn signals. I will schedule a visit with dealership to report/confirm problem.
While driving on the expressway my car hit a bump and all the power from the vehicle was lost. I’ve been having issues with my car and have taking it to Hyundai dealership. Everytime I take it they are saying my car is fixed. But it’s not. Now they are saying they didn’t fix it because I didn’t explain the problem to them. I lost control driving high speeds. Thankfully the power returned. When I tell hyuandai in naperville what happened they said it’s not their responsibility because I didn’t say it was electrical. I told them I didn’t know I had a an electrical problem. I thought that if I take my car in they would tell me the problem.

Good morning the problems I am having with my 2025 are very discouraging. Started October of 2025, my tire light illuminated stated the tires were low when they are all at correct specs when using an air guage to check. November of 2025 while driving at night the headlights suddenly shut off briefly then came back back on. January of 2026 while leaving work the transmission would not shift, held accelerator pedal to floor but could not go above 20 mph all the way home for 3 miles. April of 2026 the right side of navigation screen went completely black, shut vehicle off twice and on third restart the screen reilluminated. June of 2026 same thing with the screen going black. I have had my tuscon at the local dealer here in my town for supposedly a repair that they state was a "coaxel cable" behind the dash that was fixed that was causing this issue. I also had the recall performed for the front view camera software update but it is still showing not completed. This is very frustrating to be having experiencing these kind of issues on this new of a vehicle. Clearly something is going on with the software or something and the dealer keeps telling me they are not finding anything wrong. I am a service advisor myself at a small independent shop so I understand the terms they are using but something needs to be addressed to correct the issues that I am having. It is scary when driving and the screen goes black or driving at night and losing the headlight functions. I would appreciate if somebody will look into this and reach out to me to get some kind of remedy for why this is happening. I am paying alot for this vehicle and to say I am satisifed is an understatement. I have purchased Hyundai as my choice of vehicle due to the quality, great warranties and good reviews from other consumers however I am seriously thinking of exploring alternative makes as I do not want to keep going through this. Plus the engine consumes oil. I have attached p/w for review as well.
Horn on vehicle consistently goes out. Either goes out entirely or the volume of the horn is below a safe level. This is a known Hyundai issue and Hyundai refuses to acknowledge it on this specific model, but has acknowledged it on different models. I have had multiple repairs by Hyundai directly, and the horn consistently keeps going out. There are sometimes in dangerous situations where I need to utilize the horn to avoid an accident and warn other drivers of danger, and I am unable to do so, and it causes dangerous driving situations. This is a known defect on multiple Hyundai vehicles in this year, but the Tucson is one of the few vehicles they will not call a voluntary recall on and NHTSA needs to be notified about this and act accordingly as a regulatory body to protect consumers and people on the road.
The 2019 Tucson has 60,413 miles. My daughter drives it very low mileage - a couple of miles a day back and forth to school. Friday she was driving and the car lost engine power and it stopped driving. No warning lights. There was a cloud of smoke and it smelled like burning plastic. She was on a busy road but pulled over and quickly exited the vehicle. I had it towed and the mechanic says the engine oil was empty and the engine has seized. We do regularly scheduled oil changes. No lights or warnings and the car just stopped in traffic.

While idling at a standstill (in a drive-thru queue), my 2018 Hyundai Tucson suddenly experienced a severe engine overheat, causing the vehicle's air conditioning system to immediately blow hot air and shut down. The vehicle was brought directly to an authorized Hyundai dealership (chapman Hyundai on [xxx]) for an emergency inspection. The dealership's certified technicians confirmed that the electric engine cooling fan assembly completely failed and subsequently caused the main front wiring harness and fuse box to physically melt. The dealership documented this catastrophic electrical and thermal meltdown under repair order #xxx. This is a critical safety defect. A melted engine wiring harness poses an immediate and severe risk of an electrical short circuit, sudden vehicle stalling in live traffic, or a catastrophic under-hood engine fire. Because this component controls the primary cooling of the powertrain, its failure creates an extreme hazard to the vehicle occupants and surrounding traffic. Hyundai must investigate this component failure before it results in a thermal fire incident or an accident due to sudden power loss. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Tucson in March of 2026. Shortly after the purchase the screen began to malfunction. The screen glitches continuously while driving and there is no way to turn it off. This creates a significant distraction and raises serious concerns about driver safety. Especially driving at night. The screen turns completely dark then all of a sudden comes back in super bright. Because of the glitching there is no way to get to the setting to possibly turn the brightness down. It also creates a loud noise for about 10 minutes then resets itself and start all over again. I notice there was a recall about the screens glitching previously and I reached out to Hyundai and they informed my VIN wasn’t apart of the recall so there was nothing that could be done. Because the vehicle is over 60k miles I am not able to use the factory warranty. I believe it is unreasonable for a vehicle that is only a 2025 model to experience a major electronic failure after such a short period of ownership. Regardless of warranty limitations, consumers should be able to expect that critical vehicle systems, particularly those affecting safe operation, will function properly. I respectfully request that Hyundai and/or the selling dealership review this matter and provide goodwill assistance by covering the diagnostic fee and repairing or replacing the defective infotainment screen. I believe this would be a fair resolution considering the age of the vehicle, the timing of the failure, and the potential safety implications. I have taken a few screenshots of the video I recorded to show what is happening. I am not able to upload the video so you can hear the loud noise it makes.
I received a letter in March that there is a problem with the tow hitch harness accessory which could lead to a fire etc. They said they will come out with a repair. I contacted the victory Hyundai dealership in jefferson ohio where I got the car in April and they said they have a repair but the trailer electrical/ lights will not work. I got a second letter saying they have a solution for repair in may I contacted classic Hyundai twice to make sure the repair now will allow the lights and brakes on the trailer work. Julie and jesica there said all would be fixed and the lights and break lights will work. I brought the car there June 5th 2026 and asked again if all would work. Lyna there said no. I left. I called u-hall streetsboro ohio and talked to bill who handles the hitch repairs and they said they could fix totally and have for some dealerships. I called Hyundai customer service kyre and asked if Hyundai in streetsboro ohio can be set up to have it repaired. He said no. He would not document his response to me. I bought this car with their factory installed hitch because I needed one to pull my boat and move other stuff. My lawn tractor broke down and I have to pay $135 to have it towed for repair. I am unable to fish in my boat since I can not pull it. There is a repair that will work at u-haul and they are ignoring it. They want to make the hitch unusable. Uhaul will fix for $250-$350. If they disconnect the hitch electrical and the car is sold the new owner can get into an accident since they would have no lights and break lights, turn signal. This is a high risk for an accident. They intend to eliminate the fire risk and create an accident risk for the trailer now not working. What kind of engineers they have?? they should be contacted about this situation. It has been several months with no solution when one exists. I have had multiple Hyundais and will no longer purchase another vehicle from them. You should communicate with them on this issue.
While driving my 2018 Hyundai Tucson limited 1. 6l turbo with the 7-speed ecoshift dual clutch transmission (dct), the vehicle has repeatedly failed to engage and hold gears, resulting in loss of motive power in traffic. Diagnostic scanning retrieved codes p074b (unable to engage gear 3), p074b71 (unable to select 3rd gear), p074b07 (gear dropped out of 3rd gear), p092177 (1st gear system referencing failure), and p0921 (gear shift forward actuator circuit range/performance). A Hyundai dealer diagnosed the failure as requiring transmission replacement at approximately 93,000 miles. This is the same 7-speed dct and the same failure mode addressed by NHTSA campaign 16v628000 (Hyundai recall 149) and Hyundai service campaign t1b, which covered 2016–2017 Tucson vehicles but excluded the 2018 model year despite using the same transmission. Hyundai has acknowledged this defect in 2018 vehicles through TSB 21-at-014h and TSB 22-at-007h, which prescribe a tcu software update, but issued these as service bulletins rather than a recall, so owners were never notified. When I requested the TSB software update, the Hyundai dealer refused to perform it. This defect creates a serious safety hazard: the vehicle can drop out of gear or fail to accelerate without warning while in traffic, increasing the risk of a crash — the identical hazard NHTSA cited in granting recall 16v628000. I request that NHTSA review whether the existing recall scope should be expanded to include 2018 Tucson vehicles.
I received a recall notice around January 2026 for the trailer hitch wiring harness on my 2023 Hyundai Tucson hybrid. For 6 months the local dealer told me there was no fix available from Hyundai. I finally received a notice informing me that parts were now available and to bring it in to dealer for repairs. I took the vehicle in for recall repairs on may 27, 2026. Instead of repairing/replacing the wiring harness, Hyundai removed the entire wiring harness making the trailer hitch which I use for my business inoperable legally. When I noticed the wiring harness missing several days later, the dealer said that was Hyundai's "fix" for the recall issue. I contacted Hyundai USA customer service who also told me that removing the wiring harness and replacing it with an inexpensive dust cover was the fix. They told me that sometime in the future there will be another recall to have the wiring harness replaced. In the meantime, they have taken my vehicle VIN off the open recall list, since it has been "fixed". Hyundai sold me a vehicle with a trailer hitch and now they have without my permission or prior knowledge disabled it.
My 2022 Hyundai tuscon came to a complete stop on the highway in colorado twice in the last 2 months for no apparent reason. There weren't any obstacles or cars in front of me that would have caused the car to brake suddenly. I had passengers in the car and we were jolted forward. The air bags did not inflate and we were not hit from behind, but we could have been severely injured or killed. There are numerous "phantom braking" reports like this here on the NHTSA site for the 2022 model as well as more recent models. Yet Hyundai has only issued recalls for the 2025 and 2026 models. How are you addressing this issue?.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while in reverse, several warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel, and the vehicle suddenly reversed without depressing the accelerator pedal and crashed into a light post. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries sustained. The contact sought medical attention after being overwhelmed by the experience. A police report was not filed. The contact was able to drive the vehicle, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the front-view camera was updated; however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken to imperial body shop to repair the body damage. After the software update was performed, the contact became aware that the vehicle failed to turn off immediately, and several attempts were needed to turn off the vehicle. On another occasion, the contact was able to turn off the vehicle; however, the engine continued to run. Several attempts were needed to turn off the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer opened a case for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,500.
On 5/14/2026, while driving southbound on I-95 with my pregnant wife and young daughter, my 2025 Hyundai Tucson (approx. 7,500 miles, purchased new 10/2025) experienced multiple critical safety failures. Two days prior, the heads-up display (hud) intermittently failed to activate. On 5/14, traveling at 65-70 mph near [xxx] , the brakes auto-applied without driver input. Simultaneously, the instrument cluster and hud went completely black, eliminating all speed and vehicle status information. This recurred intermittently. Near [xxx] , the brakes auto-applied with full force, locking all four tires and bringing the vehicle from approx. 70 mph to a complete stop on the active interstate. Two trailing vehicles spun out and left the travel lane to avoid rear-ending us. A multi-car pileup was narrowly avoided. The vehicle was taken to pearson Hyundai in midlothian, va. They diagnosed and replaced a faulty wiring harness. Immediately after the repair, driving northbound on I-95 back to [xxx] (5/16), the lane keep assist/lane departure system began pulling the steering wheel into the adjacent lane without driver input, repeatedly and unpredictably at highway speed. The dealer repair did not resolve the all defects. Within a three days this vehicle exhibited: (1) total instrument cluster/hud failure, (2) uncommanded emergency braking at 70 mph causing two other vehicles to take evasive action (3) uncommanded steering input into an adjacent lane. These failures created immediate risk of serious injury or death. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
I have a 2024 Hyundai tuscon sle that I purchased new and several months ago there was a recall on the trailer hitch wiring. I took the car to Hyundai and they removed the wiring harness hitch due to a fire danager. Todate I have not received a replacement hiring harness, so my vehicle is now useless for pulling a trailer for several months. (the spring and summer months are when I use this the most and have not been able to. ) all I hear from Hyundai is that they do not have a cure for this. I notice that the 2025 and 2026 models have a wiring harness on them that do not need replacing. I need something done ASAP regarding this matter. Why has nothing been done regarding this replacement? it has been much too long! is there anyone at your organization that can help me with this matter ASAP!!!! thank you.
The issue involves the vehicle’s drivetrain and hybrid/electronic control system, where the car suddenly jerked forward in stop-and-go traffic on the freeway as if it had been struck from behind. Immediately following this event, the vehicle would not accelerate beyond approximately 40 mph, indicating a loss of normal power. This created a significant safety risk, as the sudden jerking could have led to a rear-end collision, and the inability to accelerate properly made it difficult to keep up with traffic on the freeway. I was barely able to safely pull off the freeway while surrounding traffic continued at higher speeds, increasing the risk to myself and other drivers. The problem appeared to resolve after turning the vehicle off and then back on; however, this raises concern about intermittent failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealership for inspection, but they were unable to reproduce or identify the issue. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has been inspected by a dealer but not by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Prior to the failure, there were no warning lights, messages, or noticeable symptoms indicating an issue. Based on similar reported experiences, this event may be consistent with a “limp mode” condition or a malfunction in the transition between the electric motor and gasoline engine, potentially involving the transmission or hybrid control system.
The cars speedometer screen and radio screen go black and sometimes flicker on and off. This makes it impossible to see the speed. Also the car stalls sometimes when this happens in traffic. The autonomous braking applies the brakes even when there is a large distance from other cars and objects to the point where it has almost caused me to get into an accident on numerous occasions. The driver attention alert comes on and off over and over again even though I’m fully focused on driving and well aware of what is going on and this sometimes happens in a sequence where all of the warning lights illuminate on dash. Sometimes all of the warning lights display on cluster after it goes black and then car says to shift to park when display goes back on causing safety concerns for me in traffic. In addition my sunroof glass is making a loud noise like it’s going to crack.
The head-up display and the digital display cluster turn off and on while driving. The digital display cluster seems to lose connection and will show a "no signal" message. This will happen for minutes at a time. When this happens, the display is black and does not show speed or other important safety information. The vehicle has been inspected twice by the dealership; they are not able to replicate the issue. This problem began within weeks of purchasing the new vehicle.
The instrument cluster intermittently goes completely black while driving, causing loss of the speedometer, warning lights, and gear indicator. The failure occurs randomly, including while the vehicle is in motion. The symptoms match the known 2026 Hyundai instrument?cluster recall, but my VIN is not currently included.
Took vehicle to dealership and had it diagnosed for the electrical system faults cause all the dashboard warning lights came on. Shop said it could be bad vacuum pump.
Vehicle stalled approximately 15 times between April 17 and may 4, 2026, including once on interstate xxx at approximately 50mph with minor children ages [xxx] and [xxx] in the vehicle. The oil and battery lights illuminated simultaneously at each stall. Diagnosed as abs module failure first, then left front wheel speed sensor failure on the 2nd occasion, both confirmed by a Hyundai dealership. Multiple warning lights illuminated, including check blind spot and anti lock brake system messages on the dashboard but no error codes following the 2nd repair. The vehicle has been inspected and repaired twice by the manufacturer’s dealership with a 3rd repair currently pending as of may 11, 2026. An open case has been filed with Hyundai motor America regarding this issue. Issue remains unresolved and the vehicle is still at the dealership. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while the contact's husband was driving, the contact noticed an abnormal loud sound. In addition, the contact noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact noticed an unusual odor in the interior of the vehicle. The contact's husband drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated that the engine seized. In addition, the contact stated that the smoke and the unusual odor subsided. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. In addition, the contact stated that when the failure occurred, the contact's minor children were occupants of the vehicle. The contact stated that the minor children were frightened. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed of an open recall associated with the contact's VIN, NHTSA campaign number: 20v543000 (service brakes, hydraulic). In addition, the contact was informed that her contact information was not updated in the database. The failure mileage was approximately 49,400.
The car was backing out of a driveway in reverse. Came to a stop to shift to drive, and recieved a "shift system malfunction! service immediately" screen message and the car was locked in the middle of the roadway unable to be put into any gear or be turned off. It was a huge roadway safety issue. The tow driver had to search for a code or sequence of commands to put it into neutral to be able to be safely lifted onto the tow bed, and the vehicle was stuck in accessory mode, which effectively drained the battery.
The display screen for the instrument cluster goes off for 3 seconds every 1 or 2 minutes. It leaves me without a speedometer, side safety cameras, or vehicle information.
Vehicle began flashing check driver assistance for rear sensors repeatedly while traveling out of state on March 30th with an occasional flash of check awd/4wd. On March 31st the vehicle flashed the warnings along with a variety of others flashing on the infotainment screen rapidly and shut off while driving. I was barely able to restart to get it safely into a parking lot before it shut down completely without restarting. The vehicle was towed to the Hyundai dealership that it was purchased from. The diagnostics show electrical and safety systems issues. The dealership and Hyundai USA has been less than transparent regarding a repair plan and potential completion date. It is currently April 21st with no end in sight. The vehicle feels completely unsafe to me and I regret the purchase wholeheartedly.
