Exterior Lighting Problems of Hyundai Tucson - part 2

I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson and now that the vehicle is almost paid for, I am having issue with the blinker. When I put the let or right blinker on it stops blinking, also, my car smells like something is burning. I take good care of my car, I do routine maintenance on it when it is require, I have regular oil changes. I am taking to a Hyundai shop this weekend.

Drivers seat, seat belt at the lap tightens while driving to the point it is brusing hip bones. Even if someone loosens it, the seat belt automatically tightens up to the point it is dangerous in a collision because it can cause internal injuries or more severe injuries. The seat belt design is flawed in that it pulls extra belt from only from the top, so the bottom of the lap belt is fixed and that part is getting too tight and cannot be consistently comfortable or loose enough that it does not bruise or cause injuries to hips and laps. The issue has been ongoing and a major concern. I have contacted Hyundai who said it may or may not be under warranty but expected for me to pay for a visit to the shop to find out when this is a safety issue. Secondly the headlight system keeps failing. What I mean is the left driveres low beam/regular headlight continually burns out despite replacement with new bulbs. The passenger side lo beam/ regular headlight burned out recently and when replaced with the correct light bulb the regular setting for headlights no longer adequately lights the road despite bulbs being installed correctly and exactly as instructed. The lights now face down and are very low. We have changed out the bulbs with different brands and have found the same issue so it has to be an issue with the headlights themselves.

While driving one evening, it was brought to my attention that my passenger brake light was remaining on, when I was not braking. A week later, both sides are on. This happens only if my headlights are on - automatically or if I manually turn my headlights on. The back center light will only come on when I high the brake pedals. Again, back brake lights on driver and passenger side remain on regardless of brake pedal is engaged.

Headlights have a mechanical flap that blocks a significant portion of your view at night. In the mountains where I live I am unable to safely drive the car at night. I almost had a serious accident driving up the street to my home when a car coming the opposite direction caused my headlights to go into the low beam mode blocking the majority of my site of view. Terrifying to say the least.

On 3/8/22 between 5:10 pm et and 5:45 pm et, I was traveling to a destination with a friend following behind me in her vehicle. Later, when it was dark, we traveled back to our homes. She followed me again until the location that we parted to head in different directions. After arriving home, she messaged me to state that my "tail lights kept going on and off the whole way" to our destination. She also stated "they were fine on the way home though in the dark". I'm unsure if my vehicle was part of the 12 vehicles recalled for lighting issues/reflashing, but if it is, it didn't work, or if it wasn't, the recall may not have covered everything.

I purchased my Hyundai tuscon limited Saturday 10/30/21 and during the day its perfect at night the headlights produce a black shawdow on the driver side headlight. I am now nervous to drive my vehicle at night due to causing an accident. The visibility in the road from the blind spot has mimicked something black crossing the road and slammed my breaks on thinking I was going to hit an animal or something. The headlights on the 2022 Hyundai Tucson are a road safety hazard and should be outlawed from us roadways. Turning on the headlights creates a dark shadow covering over half of the windshield from top to bottom with a triangle at the bottom of shadow at each end. The triangles can be seen on each headlight lens. Driving the Tucson at night is like wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. The bottom of the shadow moves with every movement of the vehicle which is distracting hazardous, hypnotizing and not safe. If I would have driven this vehicle at night, I would not have purchased it.

The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that when she was near her vehicle she noticed that the driver's side door window was in the open position. The contact stated that she could not raise the window. The contact stated that over the next month the other three windows also dropped into the open position and could not be raised. Additionally, the contact stated that both headlights had failed and she had to have them replaced. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the window mechanisms needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

1) front right driver headlight warning message, keeps illuminating. Mechanic, noticed wires are burning inside compartment. Safety issue burning wires may cause entire electrical system to burn out causing a fire and not having headlights. Vehicle being serviced 10/29/21 2) driver brake light message illuminated, replaced light 2 mo ago, as of today 10-28-21, brake light out again. Vehicle being serviced 10/29/21 3) purchased vehicle 3/21. Vehicle will not accelerate, it will jerk causing a slow start, safety issue. Vehicle taken to mechanic covered thru warranty, he stated vehicle drove ok, still having same problem since 3/21.

2017 Hyundai Tucson, alerts driver that the rear left brake bulb is bad. But when the lamp is removed the bulb looks dark but the inside leads aren't broken. But the bulb socket looks like burned. Car has only 49,263miles.

My transmission gears shift keeps on sticking in the park position and also I’ve been having to replace my left side parking lights I believe it’s an electric problem or fuse and the dealership seems to can’t fixed this issue with my vehicle each time I take it there.

Originally when I purchased my car I complained to the dealer about my radio going black and they claimed it was due to the cold and brushed it off. Now recently I had the same issue but now as I was driving straight on the highway all of the lights on the dash keep flickering on and off telling me to check every system. My car signals/hazards will not work. Speedometer will not work along with blind spot recognition and other things.

Driver air bag light stay on will not turn off head light sliver melted.

I have to replace the light bulbs every couple of months, the back holder had to be replaced was melted , I believe this is a defect. How do things melt for no reason. Ive spent about 300 to 400. On light bulbs. Just replaced pigtail on the front low beam light. Crazy its pain to have to keep replacing bulbs. Just did this 3/15/21.

Drivers side low beam doesn't work after changing bulb. Fuse good.

Vehicle was in motion on i88 westbound in IL. Vehicle electrical power cut off completely in the middle of the busy interstate. Acceleration slowed until vehicle died and all error lights appeared and flashed on dash with a "service now" alert. Pulled over and placed the vehicle in park, and turned the switch to see if it would crank again. Vehicle does not start and gives the same "service now" light. Vehicle will not start when jumped by IL state police. Called tow truck, currently waiting.

Passenger brake ligh repeatedly goes out, Hyundai dealership has admitted it is a recurring issue arising from subpar parts with known quality problems. Occurs randomly; stationary, in motion. Vehicle primarily used for city driving.

Blinker stays on even after it is shut off, brake like continuously goes out, even though it has been replaced several times (may be a wiring issue).

Lights of stop do not have normal function. Sometimes, turn on and most of time, not.

Driving vehicle where felt hesitation accelerating. Then heard a banging noise where engine had seized. This is first new car owned what a disappointment. This problem is known through Hyundai and they have done nothing about it. My advice stay away.

Tl the contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Tucson. While driving after dusk, there was reduced visibility from the driver's side headlamp. The contact stated that the failure was due to dark spots on the headlamp. The contact was concerned that there was a failure with the refractive lens in the headlamp along with the placement of the headlamp. The contact was unsure if the headlamp was placed improperly. The contact stated that the headlamp was a replacement after a crash involving a deer. The vehicle was repaired at an independent repair facility. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

2005 Hyundai Tucson. Consumer writes in regards to stop lamp switch assembly. The consumer stated the vehicle was not included in the stop lamp recall even though the vehicle exhibited a failure.

2mois et demi Après l'achat le gps qui change DE langage, IL montre plus les détailles, aucun signe DE circulation ou autres et pourtant le deux premier mois tous fonction bien , pas DE son dans la radio, je ne peux pas fermer les portes, j'ai du la fermé manuellement, l’arrière DE la voiture qui s'ouvre toute seul, j'ai été pour faire des achats a mon retour j'ai trouvé l’arrière DE la voiture ouverte (coffre) et pourtant j'ai bien vérifié avant DE rentrer dans le magasin puisque ce n'ai pas la première fois que le problème ce pose, j'ai informé le concessionnaire IL me dit que c'est moi qui a appuyer sur le bouton par erreurs, je l'ai informé que ce que je me suis dites la 1er, 2eme et 3eme fois mais là c'est plus que 10fois , hier c'est l'ouverture du toit qui ne veux pas s'ouvrir complètement, j'ai essayé aujourd’hui mais rien IL s'ouvre a moitié, le gps IL redeviens comme avant, chaque jour une nouvel chose que faire????.

Blow up headlights bulbs and taillights bulb.

First my driver's side rear door got to sticking at 60, 500 mile and now my front passenger side door doing the same thing. My taillight says it's not work and it be working and vis versus, as if there's a shortage. Now the steep hill lights come on along with the car traction light. It's doing it more now than ever. Having to restart my vehicle everytime now to reset it. It doing it at red light and while I'm driving all on it own. My biggest fear is my doors sticking and the dealership in tupelo ms told me I will have to pay for a diagnostic and to me I feel I should not have to because that dealing with my safety. There have not be any thing done to either door for the to be that way on my behalf.

"takata recall": front light signatures for the "left-side" swich on and off constantly. When the initial car turns on, the dashboard on occasions, goes black! the car when goes on to highways, the engine (rpm) goes up to 7000 rpm for the first and second gear! ths will happen when the car is turn on. Lastly, the trunk automatically started opening even when the keys are away or in my jacket or pocket especially when turned off the car.

Stop lamp switch malfunctioning causing the illumination of the "esc" (electronic stability control) indicator lamp in the instrument cluster to stay on. This condition also occurred on my 2008 Hyundai Tucson for which there was a recall. The problem was repaired on 5/23/2013 at advantage Hyundai in hicksville, NY. Attached to this complaint is the recall notice for the 2008 Tucson and the repair receipt of 5/23/13. I inquired on 6/25/2017 as to whether there was a recall for the 2006 Tucson I own and was informed that there is currently not an open recall for this condition. It is apparent to me that this issue also affects 2006 Hyundai models also. I am requesting your assistance in opening an investigation regarding my 2006 Hyundai Tucson and for this model to be included in the affected group and for Hyundai to correct the issue on my vehicle.

I have had problems with two trailer hitch sending units causing brake lights to be constantly illuminated. Hyundai has issues a recall for my model year on this issue, but for some reason my VIN is not covered in the recall.

The right passenger door will not lock. The electronic locking system on the doors started clicking, when I stopped and put the car in park. I was able to get the other doors to lock, but the right door stopped working. Also the overhead night light is no working. The car istotally dark at night when I open the doors.

The parking/running lights will not turn off intermittently. This can drain the battery if not noted when turning off the car. Weather/humidity/precipitation has no bearing on this problem. Lights will not go off whether vehicle engine is running or off. I have had the vehicle in for servicing and the issue could not be duplicated/diagnosed.

The first sign of trouble with the vehicle concerned the computerized functions within the vehicle. I could not sync my phone to the car and other issues . The second sign of trouble was when I was on my way to work one rainy morning. I exited the expressway and stopped at the red light. Once the light turned green - the car would not move. I sat there for a few lights attempting to get the car to move. It finally jerked and accelerated very quickly and I immediately took the car to the dealership. I was told that there was nothing wrong with the car because they road tested the car and did not have the same problem. I kept having all sorts of problems after this, such as jerking, lurching, lights flickering in and out, to name a few. The transmission seems to be confused and I consider this car to be quite unsafe to drive. Eventually I took the car back to the dealer and they replaced a hood latch - something I did not even know I needed and performed a software cluster that was supposed to repair the vehicle. They kept the car for a full week. I got the car back and did not have it 24 hours before it started acting up again, but even worse than before. It still shoots out after the accelerator has been tapped gently, lurches and jerks forward, stalls and stops, especially if it is raining. I don't even want to think about trying to drive this car once the winter has set in. I am already afraid to drive it. I have been attempting to communicate with the dealer (world Hyundai of matteson, IL ) and Hyundai motors to no avail. I have to pay for a car that is unsafe to drive. I am afraid they aren't going to make any real changes unless someone has a tragic accident and dies.

The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that the electronic stability control and down hill brake control warning lights illuminated. In addition, the gear shifter failed to shift into park from the drive position. Also, while driving various speeds, the gear shifter shifted out of the drive position into the park position independently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle would need to be repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 13v113000 (exterior lighting, service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was repaired, but the failure with the gear shifter was not addressed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,692.

A/c digital display brightness is very dim and cannot be adjusted. It is so dim that I am unable to read the display during daytime hours. The instrument display brightness is adjustable. Dealer took a new Tucson off the lot and. It had the same problem. They issued a case number 9227369. Have not heard anything from Hyundai about this design problem.
