~tl- the contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that they heard a loud thumping coming from underneath the vehicle. They inspected the vehicle and noticed a metal container with a plastic casing that was getting burned due to a fuel line leading to it. The contact stated their vehicle was included in a recall where the straps were placed to hold the gas tank was near a unit that had wires relating to the gas tank and towards the engine, indicating it was the computer used for the fuel line connection between the gas tank and the engine. The contact spoke with the dealer (libertyville Lincoln 941 s milwaukee Ave, libertyville, IL 60048; (847) 367-1700) who stated that due to their vehicle not being included in a recall they were unable to diagnose the vehicle free of charge. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage 165,000.
