Sometimes the transmission will not go into gear upon starting the vehicle. This primarily occurs when first starting the car and shifting into reverse. The shifter will go into place but the car does not move when pressing the accelerater. So far this problem has been able to be resolved by putting it back in park, turning off the car, and restarting it.
The dual clutch transmission is faulty. I took off from a parking lot intending to tuen left on to the street. I was cut off by a truck coming into the parking lot and had to hit the brakes quickly. Once the truck passed the car would not move. It just revved like it was in neutral with the shift lever in drive. There was traffic coming my way as I sat in the strret but the vehicle finally got back in gear. The other day I was on the freeway and the car ahead stopped suddenly and I had to brake. When I looked the car was in 3rd gear according to the dash display. The transmission lagsand sometimes does not know what gear it is in if you creep at a red light. The recall has made it worse and now the dealer refuses to communicate or set up a service appointment because I am in a class action lawsuit against Hyundai. I was sent a video by Hyundai showing how you have to modify your driving habits of 56 years. I was never instructed of this at purchase or told about it. It is very scary driving this vehicle and I have no other option other than voluntary reposession.
