On January 15, 2026, at approximately 7:51 a. M. , my son was involved in a motor vehicle collision that disabled three vehicles. His vehicle sustained significant damage and was declared a total loss. During the collision, the driver-side airbag did not deploy, and the seat belt failed to engage. As a result of the restraint system failures, my son sustained head trauma and required medical evaluation. There were no prior warnings or indicator lights suggesting a malfunction of the airbag or seat belt systems prior to the crash. The failure of these safety systems raises concern about a potential defect that could pose a risk to other drivers. This complaint is submitted to document the incident and to request that it be reviewed for potential investigation or recall action in the interest of public safety.

Greetings, I went in for an oil change and was notified that my car airbags did not work and/or have not worked for an indeterminant time. The dealership ordered a part which still has not arrived. It’s been nearly 3 weeks, and I am unable to collect my car unless I pay $2,000. I’ve been paying out of pocket for a rental during that time, and as a college student have missed some classes. Currently, my car is still at the dealership unable to be driven safely. They say the seat sensor went bad and disabled my entire airbag system. There’s no telling how long my family and I have been at great risk of injury or death driving this car. I’m afraid to pay or pickup the vehicle as I’m unsure if it’s safe. I have been denied warranty coverage from corporate Hyundai and from the dealership. Im not sure how to proceed.

Oil pressure light began coming on around 7/1/2022. By 7/5/2022 car would accelerate past 40mph unless put into manual drive. Dealership pulled camshaft codes but said they couldn't find the code in manual for car. Now estimated $800 for repairs with airbag light also on.

The vacuum pump had an internal mechanical failure, resulting in complete failure of the airbag control module, electronic stability control system, power steering, abs, and speedometer. These were all shown as warning lights on the dashboard, starting with the esc, then sporadic airbag light, sporadic steering light, etc. . In the event of a crash, the airbags would not have deployed. In the event of low-traction conditions, the car would not have been able to maintain control and I could have crashed. In the event of turning across traffic, my steering could have failed and I could have crashed. When I first bought my car it seemed to have some sort of transmission problem because it's a dual clutch I was told they do have problems sometimes when I'm trying to pick up speed it seems like it won't switch gears so it won't pick up speed which is extremely dangerous especially when I'm on the beltway or highway and I've already had Hyundai replace the first transmission because it was faulty now my second transmission is already acting up and it's only been 2 years.

My air bag will not work because of a part in the steering wheel called the clock spring. Hyundai will fix it,if I pay $327 and I think it shoud be fixed for free.

My blue link connected care has sent me 3 monthly health reports of my vehicle and have all said air bag problem need service immediately but I have no light turned on in my tachometer, I barely got this car 3 months it's too soon to have a problem like this and also have took it to get it serviced . I'm only concerned because if it does come down to a accident will my air bags work?.

Takata airbag in steering wheel didn't work. Suffered brain injury. Vehicle was in motion going over 50 mph on jacksonville florida i95, hit median head on.

The airbag warning light came on soon after I bought the car and I took it to the dealership. They said it was sensor under passenger seat and repaired. A week later, did it again. Said it was probably another bad sensor under seat. It intermittently goes off and on now every few months. I have no idea if the airbag would work if I were in an accident. I haven’t continued to keep taking it back for more new sensors anymore. (I don’t believe every single new sensor they put in has gone bad. ) so I’m at a loss what to do.

So there are a few issues that need to fixed with this that just randomly stopped working. First the driver side door will not unlock and sometimes it locks with my key fob. Second, my air bag symbol has also popped up and will not go away. My horn will not honk and the right side on the steering wheel buttons suddenly stopped working. And now my passenger side back door will not open from the inside and out. These are things that shouldn’t be happening to the car, it’s not even 10 years old since I’ve had the car. Please fix these issues which at the dealership charge an arm and a leg to fix these issues. We need recalls for these issue to get fixed that Hyundai couldn’t do when they released these car types.

The low rider rear tires were making loud noises - rear left went flat - cheap tires because the belts were showing through the tire - got towed to bangor, maine to nearest dealership - they replaced the faulty tire and told me the left one was also showing through the belts. So every 27685 miles I'll need to pay $390. 00 ?? that's right, they charged me that much for two tires and no this is not an escalade, (free towing from perry me) 120 miles to bangor woweee !!! told them the air bag notification light came on they turned it off, it was off for a short time - its back on.
