The speedometer and tachometer dashboard instruments are almost unreadable by persons with red-green color blindness. Approximately 5% to 10% of the male population is red-green color blind (0. 5% to 1% for females). The speedometer and tachometer dials are black with white lettering and deep red needles to point at the lettering. That deep red on a black background is almost invisible. If I spend time searching, I can find the needle, but it is very unsafe to take one's eyes off the road for the length of time it takes to find the almost invisible needle. An argument of, "if you can't read the instruments, get a different car," is not reasonable because the car one is driving is not always one's own car, such as it may be an employer's car or (the way I discovered this problem) it may be a rental car, and there are many other scenarios where one did not choose the car one has to drive. Since 5% to 10% of the male population has this color vision deficiency, I cannot believe that Hyundai never discovered the problem, but chose styling over safety. I also suspect this problem is not limited to Hyundai.

The speedometer does not tell you the speed you are actually going it is off 4 miles an hour at 20 then 5 miles at 40 and 6 miles at 60 and 7 miles at75 mph and so on up to 15 off at 140 mph you have to drive faster than you are suppose to go the actual speed limit this is very difficulty to keep track of as I am a disabled veteran who bought this car to get back and forth 300 miles to medical apptments. I am having problems getting Hyundai to fix this they replaced the speedometer unit with a new one and now the odometer is off by 3641 miles. They are telling me that the speedometer is within acceptable limits if it is 5%off but it is more like 9 to 12 % off and they are not listening to me and are unwilling to help resolve the issue. How do I get this fixed as I know this is a safety hazard and they refuse to help me or to exchange the new car?.
