Transmission Slip Out Of Gear Problems of Hyundai Veloster

The dct transmission slips out of gear and over revs constantly. When you try to accelerate the car will shift gears and usually during the 2nd to 3rd gear shift the transmission missing and your rpms shoot. Once revs come down the car slips into gear. Very dangerous in traffic because you can pull out of a driveway or enter a road and then no power because the gear slipped. Dealers was informed and an update was applied to the ecu. Worked for a short period and now car does it again.

Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Veloster. The contact stated that while park, the vehicle failed to shift into gear. Also, the contact mentioned that while driving, the transmission would shift out of gear without any warnings. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 17,000. Pm.

Vehicle slips out of gear often. Dealership cannot duplicate problem, and one dealer dismissed my complaint. Happens after accelerating from a stop when shifting from 1-2 but has happened when shifting 2-3 and it slips out and engine revs, disengaged from wheels (as if in neutral). This is when using it in normal mode, not sport or manual shift. There are numerous other complaints online in various forums (not yet on nhsta site it seems) this is very unsafe in traffic as the driver must stop accelerating, shift car into n and then back to drive to get it to work again.

When the transmission is cold at first start up and for an hour or so, you put it into reverse, the "r" flashes and the transmission will not move. This has left me stranded in a parking lot. Also intermittently at cold start, the transmission shifts into reverse with a delay, then harsh engagement. Also intermittently after driving 1 to 2 minutes then coming to a stop, you accelerate and make a slow speed left turn, the transmission will not shift out of 1st gear.
