Hyundai XG350 owners have reported 1 problem related to automatic transmission torque converter (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Hyundai XG350 based on all problems reported for the XG350.
The torque converter & transmission fluid pump are known to be defective in this transmission, the f5a51 Mitsubishi/Hyundai transmission. Mine started going out recently, at 75k miles! this problem/defect is also very well known to Hyundai/kia/Mitsubishi and they choose to ignore the issue & instead try to blame the owners & claim that we've been neglectful or abusive to the transmission which is simply not the case. I'll say that again, Hyundai & Mitsubishi know of the manufacturing defects in these parts as well as defects with the crankshaft in the engine but choose to ignore it and claim that they are not responsible for these problems. There are known defects throughout the whole car, luckily mine is only having issues with those two parts in the transmission so far. Please help all of the other owners of the vehicles that have that transmission & engine with even greater problems than my own.
