The contact owns a 2005 Hyundai Xg350. While driving approximately 70 mph the vehicle started to jerk. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technicians stated there was a loose pin in the throttle body sensor. The technicians tightened the pin; however, the vehicle continued to jerk after the repairs. Prior to the failure occurring the dealer replaced the transmission for an unrelated failure. After the replacement of the transmission the jerking motion in the vehicle recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the transmission converter would slip out of gear and would not stay engaged. The contact stated that the warranty was valid; however, the dealer stated that until a service engine light illuminated they could not repair the failure because the computer was not reading a failure code. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000.
