The contact owns a 2002 Hyundai Xg350. The contact stated that the check engine light began to illuminate on the instrument panel while going through an automated car wash. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the fuel tank canister needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure had since recurred twice. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer on each occasion where it was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
